¿Evento de Xiaomi para el 11 de noviembre con más sorpresas de las esperadas?

El próximo día 11 de noviembre parece que va a ser algo más que un simple miércoles. Quedan ya pocos días y ya sabemos de varias iniciativas que diferentes empresas de comercio online van a realizar para celebrar el doble 11. Un grupo de empresas a las que se les va a unir Xiaomi con un evento conocido como “Mi Dual 11″.

Desde hace semanas, la expectación por una posible presentación del Xiaomi Mi5 ha ido en aumento. Han sido continuas las idas y venidas de posibles fechas para su puesta de largo, pero lo cierto es que la compañía china no se ha manifestado en ningún momento y ha dejado que la bola se fuera haciendo grande.

Aunque la espera parece llegar a su fin y en una reciente publicación del fabricante podemos leer que un nuevo teléfono hará su debut finalmente el día 11 de noviembre a partir de las 00:00 horas. Y sí, una traducción del chino nunca va a ser demasiado exacta, pero es este “finalmente” el que nos hace creer que se trata del Xiaomi Mi5 y no otro el teléfono que va a presentarse.

Pero hay otra alternativa y que en otras páginas como Phone Arena están valorando. Y esta sería que el “Dual” se refiriera también a otro dispositivo, un hecho que vendría a confirmar unos datos publicados recientemente y que hablarían de un teléfono muy parecido al Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, pero con marcos metálicos y un sensor de huella dactilar. Un dispositivo que llegaría bajo el nombre de Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro.

Sin embargo, estamos hablando todo el rato de rumores y suposiciones… Lo único que está claro es que el próximo miércoles tendremos el evento mencionado y que, como mínimo, tendremos un nuevo teléfono sobre el que hablar. Y como amantes de la tecnología no podemos hacer otra cosa que esperar con mucha expectación que este se trate del Xiaomi Mi5 y que confirme tanto gran parte de las especificaciones que se han venido filtrando hasta ahora, como su rompedor precio.

¿Qué pensáis que puede tener preparado Xiaomi para esta próxima semana? ¿Será este un verdadero flagship killer o tendremos que conformarnos con algo parecido al OnePlus 2?

Cómo limpiar tu usb de virus y malware

ClamavSi bien es cierto que Gnu/Linux no tiene  virus por el simple hecho de que están creados para funcionar en Windows, también es cierto que esta inmunidad no es real ya que muchos utilizan varias plataformas y si bien en Gnu/Linux no funcionan, sí funcionan en Windows.

El principal problema de esta situación es la memoria usb o pendrive que llevan los virus y los difunden. Para solucionar esto se puede crear un potente ordenador-antivirus que limpie nuestras unidades usb. Para ello haremos uso del antivirus Clamav que combinado con Gnu/Linux se convierte en una eficaz herramienta.

Clamav se puede conseguir a través de su web oficial o en algunas distribuciones se puede conseguir a través de los repositorios oficiales. En concreto Clamav está disponible en Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, OpenSUSE, Gentoo, Mandriva, ArchLinux y/o Pardus. En estas distribuciones se puede instalar a través de los comandos habituales, por ejemplo en Ubuntu sería escribiendo sudo apt-get install Clamav, así con la respectiva distribución.

ClamTK nos dará un aspecto gráfico y necesario

Ahora que hemos instalado Clamav, procederemos a instalar su entorno gráfico, así instalaremos la herramienta ClamTK que nos ayudará a realizar análisis más completos y usar mejor el antivirus. ClamTK está disponible en esta página y no sólo están sus fuentes sino también los paquetes para las principales distribuciones Gnu/Linux aunque no todas como por ejemplo Gentoo o Sabayon. Aún así ClamTK es una gran herramienta indispensable para funcionar bien con Clamav.

Una vez que tenemos instalado ClamTK, procederemos a actualizar el antivirus para que los virus o malware más actualizado lo reconozca. En este caso, abriremos el programa gráfico de Clamav, es decir, ClamTK, después pulsamos la opción actualizar y listo.

Ahora iremos a analizar y escanear los archivos de nuestra unidad usb. Pero primero nos iremos a la pestaña de “Configuración” y marcaremos dos opciones: “Analizar archivos que empiecen por ‘.’ ” y “Analizar archivos superiores a 20 MB”. Una vez marcadas, nos vamos a la pestaña “Análisis” y “Analizar una carpeta” buscamos a dirección de la memoria usb y listo.

Herramienta supletoria para limpiar los virus y malware

Además de Clamav existe otra herramienta importante en Gnu/Linux: el editor de texto. Editores de texto como gedit o nano nos permitirá leer archivos como autorun.inf y ver si realmente tiene alguna acción maliciosa o algo que pueda dañar a nuestro ordenador. Al estar en Gnu/Linux, tales archivos no funcionan y son inofensivos. En caso de abrirlos, pulsamos sobre el archivo con el botón derecho y elegimos la opción “Abrir con..”, dentro de las aplicaciones que se abran elegimos el editor de texto preferido. Luego lo editamos y lo guardamos sin problema alguno.

Conclusión

Tanto Clamav como el editor de texto son dos grandes herramientas de Gnu/Linux que nos ayudan a limpiar nuestras memorias usb sin problema alguno. Ahora bien, esto no evita que las memorias usb se infecten a través de otros equipos, sólo funciona como filtro para que determinados equipos no se vean infectados a través de memorias usb, pero no son métodos infalibles, lamentablemente.

Google Indic Keyboard

Google’s Hindi Keyboard is now Indic Keyboard and supports 12 different languages, including Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu. You can either type in the native script or use the transliteration feature to type in English and then have it converted to the selected language.

Room Three

Following the excellent The Room and Room Two comes the new Room Three. The puzzles are a lot longer and more elaborate this time around and more challenging but not punishingly so. If you ever get stuck, the game still has the hint system to gently guide you alone. The game introduces some new mechanics and continues with the creepy tone of the previous games. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look particularly better and some assets are noticeably low resolution on the iPad, but other than that this is bigger and better than both the first two games. It’s only available on iOS but will probably show up on Android later like the previous games.

Asphalt Nitro

Asphalt Nitro is the latest in the Asphalt series, although oddly only available on Android. The game doesn’t seem much like a sequel to Asphalt 8 but more like Asphalt 8 Lite, with more of the same. The Lite part refers to the size, the game prides itself in being only 25MB in size, whereas Asphalt is over one and a half gigabyte. The game really though is more of the same, but somehow less. Other than a handful of new tracks it doesn’t seem like you are playing a different game. But if you liked Asphalt 8 then you’d like this as well. The small size is just a bonus.

Starific

Starific is a fast-paced arcade game where you rotate the walls of a grid to keep the bouncing stars within the grid and collect. things and earn multipliers. The game has an easy control system where you just turn your thumb around in a circle to move the walls around. Your job is to keep at least one of the bouncy stars within the walls, which is easier said than done. Starific has flashy, attractive visuals and a pretty awesome soundtrack. Definitely worth a try.
