Snappy package: soportado en Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Snappy Package

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) soportará paquetes Snappy.

The Expresser App Is Transforming Texting, Turning Memes Into A New Breed Of Emojis

If you’re under the age of 35, battling with an even moderate addiction to your mobile device, it’s safe to assume you’ve indulged in emoji’s. Tapping these tiny symbols empowers people to express their sincere, and sometimes layered, emotions without uttering a word or sharing any body language. Regardless of your tone, sense of humor, or typical style of texting, there’s an icon for everybody. For a text-driven generation fueled by quick and casual communication, emoji’s offer a fun alternative to small talk, or in-the-moment messages. Yet, with the rapid emergence of viral memes, as video’s like Drake’s “Hotline Bling” and “Why You Always Lying” perfectly personify, there’s space for a mobile app that merges the best of both worlds. The Expresser Keyboard App has managed to do just that.

Ask Ethan #113: Would A Scientist Bet Their Life On A Theory?

One of the most important things any expert hoping to communicate their passion and knowledge for their field with the rest of humanity must do is interact with a varied audience. Sometimes, that variety can cause problems for a portion of the audience themselves. As part of the questions and suggestions you can submit for our Ask Ethan series, we have this relatable inquiry from Chris Shaw, who asks:

If someone asked you and you had to answer your true feelings would you say that the universe expanding from a hot dense state is fact beyond theory? If you had to bet your life on it, what would you say?

There are a whole lot of important nuances to this issue, so let’s start with the specific one you brought up: the Big Bang.

Google buys Fly Labs to integrate video editing tech into Google Photos

Google has added another company to its list of acquisitions.

Fly Labs has officially been acquired by Google. The company revealed the news on its website today, saying that it’ll be joining the Google Photos team in Mountain View.

We’re excited to continue on our mission by joining Google and the Google Photos team in Mountain View, California. Google Photos is a home for your life’s memories, powered by Google’s machine learning and computer vision technology. It’s a perfect match for what we built at Fly Labs, and we’re looking forward to folding our technology into Google Photos. We’ll be pouring the same passion into Google Photos that we poured into Clips, Fly, Tempo and Crop on the Fly.

Fly Labs made four video editing apps for iOS that let you do things like edit, add transitions, speed up or slow down video, and more. Thanks to the Google acquisition, all of Fly Labs’ apps and their in-app purchases are now free, and they’ll stay that way for the next 3 months. After that time, they’ll be pulled from the App Store. Fly Labs notes that their apps won’t receive any further updates.

So yeah, it sounds like Google Photos is going to gain some sort of video editing capabilities. Exactly how Google will build Fly Labs’ tools into Google Photos remains to be seen, but it’s exciting to hear that Google is beefing up one of its best new products.
