A few months back, I installed one of the beta / preview builds of Windows 10 Mobile (then called Windows 10 For Phones) on my Lumia 1520. I thought it would be safe to use the early version of the mobile OS on my daily driver, but I turned out to be very wrong. Many of the things I loved about Windows Phone 8.1 were simply broken, and basic stuff – like Bluetooth connectivity and saving photos to an SD card – didn’t work properly. My experience with the beta was so bad, I wiped my phone and started clean with the stock Windows 8.1 ROM.

Samsung Pay has been in customers’ hands for a while now, including Verizon customers that thought it might not ever come to the carrier. Then hit the source link to start the process of getting one for free! The deal is limited to 200,000 chargers and ends on November 8th, so you better hurry!

Hace unas horas se ha liberado una versión nueva de Sabayon. Sabayon 15.11 es la nueva versión de esta distribución ya consolidada y antigua en el mundo Gnu/Linux.
Sabayon 15.11 sigue basándose en la vetusta distribución Gentoo, pero ya desde hace varias versiones, Sabayon cambia bastante respecto a Gentoo, incluyendo, obviamente, un modo más sencillo de instalación y un entorno más amigable para los usuarios novatos en el Gnu/Linux que lleguen a Sabayon.
Sabayon 15.11 incorpora varios kernels, el más actual es el 4.1 con soporte para las tarjetas gráficas de AMD y NVIDIA. Sin embargo a pesar de tener soporte para varios kernels, Sabayon 15.11 sólo se distribuirá en 64 bits, por lo que para aquellos que tengan un equipo de 32 bits deberán de utilizar una imagen antigua y actualizar o una imagen mínima y actualizar y compilar.
Las imagenes de disco de Sabayon 15.11 que se han publicado corresponden a la versión server de Sabayon 15.11, Sabayon con Gnome, Sabayon con KDE, Sabayon Xfce y Sabayon con otros entornos, encabezados por MATE.
Como hemos dicho anteriormente, Sabayon 15.11 mantiene las tradiciones de Gentoo, así podemos instalar un programa como si fuera en Gentoo o sencillamente podemos instalar el programa mediante el instalador Rigo.
Lo que más me ha llamado la atención de las notas de esta versión de Sabayon es el objetivo que tiene a medio plazo el propio proyecto Sabayon. En la próxima versión de esta distribución se intentará que Sabayon esté disponible para Raspberry Pi 2, en general para plataformas ARM.
Parece que ahora todas las distribuciones quieren estar en plataformas ARM, una plataforma que desde hace unos cuántos años existe y que parece que es ahora cuando a los desarrolladores les interesa. Esperemos que al igual que Sabayon, Gentoo adquiera estas versiones especiales así como el soporte del nuevo hardware.
