Manjaro 15.09 se actualiza una vez más

Manjaro 15.09Hace unas horas se ha liberado una actualización más de Manjaro 15.09. En concreto la cuarta actualización que tiene esta versión de Manjaro. En esta actualización no sólo se ha modificado los kernels que soporta y ofrece la distribución sino que también se ha actualizado bastante software que hará que Manjaro 15.09 tenga funciones nuevas para los usuarios.

Los núcleos que ahora soporta Manjaro es el Kernel 3.10.91, el Kernel 3.12, el Kernel 3.13, el Kernel 3.14, el kernel 3.16, el 3.18 , el 3.19.8.8 , el 4.1.11, el 4.2.4 y el 4.3-rc7. Éste último no se recomienda usar ya que no es una versión estable del núcleo.

Pero son las actualizaciones de programas cotidianos lo más interesante de esta medida tomada por el equipo de Manjaro. Los paquetes de Bitcoin así como los relacionados con el billetero electrónico, electrum, han sido actualizados. Gcompris, Freecad y Geogebra también se han actualizado para la comunidad educativa.

El desarrollador web también se verá beneficiado de esta actualización pues no sólo se ha actualizado paquetes como Filezilla o drupal, sino que también han actualizado los paquetes relacionados con owncloud y mongodb.

Manjaro 15.09 incluye los últimos paquetes de programas importantes como Bitcoin

Estas actualizaciones son interesantes porque ofrecerán al usuario un software más actualizado usando los mismos recursos, lo que por ejemplo en el caso de bitcoin es muy interesante pues la minería sería más constante. Para la comunidad educativa, Manjaro 15.09 es muy interesante puesto que no suelen tener hardware potente y actualizado y la opción liviana como Manjaro es muy útil para los jóvenes estudiantes.

Sobre esta versión se ha creado también la nueva versión de Manjaro Gnome, un sabor que incluirá la versión 3.18 del antiguo escritorio Gnu/Linux. Un sabor que tiene todo el software actualizado y sabor a vainilla, es decir, configurado optimamente para un mejor funcionamiento.

Manjaro 15.09 sigue basándose en Arch Linux por lo que si tenéis instalado esta versión se actualizará automáticamente, si por el contrario no tenéis instalado esta distribución, en este enlace encontrareis la imagen de instalación de Manjaro 15.09 actualizada, lista para funcionar.

Report reveals launch markets for Samsung’s foldable ‘Project Valley’ smartphone

Back in March this year, a Samsung official revealed that the company is working on a foldable phone internally codenamed Project Valley. Just last month, there were reports revealing some specs of the device – it was also revealed that the phone will be ready for unveiling in January 2016.

Now, a new report has revealed the list of markets where the handset will be launched. As per the report, the Project Valley phone will be available in the UK, Germany, Italy, Nordic countries, France, Poland, as well as Samsung’s home country of South Korea. It was also revealed that the phone will carry a model number of SM-G929F.

The above list indicates that those living in the US are currently out of luck, although the possibility of Samsung expanding the phone’s availability later on cannot be ruled out, the report…
