AMD Forms ‘Radeon Technologies’ Group, Taps Raja Koduri To Lead Team Dedicated To Graphics Growth
AMD’s Raja Koduri is kind of a big deal. In ATI’s glory days, he was the principle architect of the R300 GPU — the world’s first DirectX 9-capable graphics card — which put the company on a path to be extremely competitive against Nvidia. Under Steve Jobs as Apple’s director of graphics architecture, he was instrumental in bringing their Retina Display to market. More recently at AMD, Koduri has been directly responsible for innovative new products like the Radeon Nano. So when I tell you about AMD’s freshly formed Radeon Technologies Group, and the fact that Koduri is being crowned as the group’s chief architect reporting directly to AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su, it’s news worth paying attention to.

Here’s the updated Apple iPad lineup pricing
With the Apple iPad Pro and iPad mini 4 now official, the company also slightly updated the pricing of some of its other slates. The latter is comprised of the iPad Air 2 internals fitted into the casing of the iPad Mini.
Anyhow, pricing of the iPad Pro starts at $799 for the 32GB version and goes all the way up to $949 and $1079 for the 128GB Wi-Fi and Wi-FI + Cellular models, respectively. There’s no 32GB Cellular model it seems, though.
The entry-level iPad mini 2 has had its price dropped to $269 for the 16GB model, while the iPad mini 4 now retails at $399 for the same storage. The base iPad Air costs the same, whereas the Air 2 retains its $499 asking price despite getting no update this year.
Speaking of pricing, the Apple Pencil for the iPad Pro will retail for $99. If you want the cool new Smart Keyboard for the iPad Pro, that’ll be another $169.
Stay tuned for pricing outside the US as it becomes…
