A New Design for Cryptography’s Black Box

A New Design for Cryptography’s Black Box
In July 2013, a pair of studies set the cryptography world on fire. The studies described a powerful new method for hiding the secrets inside software programs. The method was called “indistinguishability obfuscation,” or IO. The authors touted it as a “central hub” for all of cryptography — a unified basis upon which to reconstruct familiar cryptographic tools like public keys and selectively secure signatures. Now proposals are getting closer to reality.

What Will Be The Ultimate Goal Of ‘Fear the Walking Dead’?

Fear the Walking Dead returns tonight after a Labor Day hiatus, back with its third of six episodes in this shortened first season. While the original Walking Dead season one had hordes of zombies and loads of killing and a quite literally an explosive finale, Fear the Walking Dead has been taking things slower so far.
