Xbox One And PS4 Got An HD Remaster No One Even Noticed

It’s customary for a last-gen game to announce its HD new-gen remaster with fanfare, trumpets, a choir of angels, etc, but it seems that Activision is realizing that perhaps that’s all growing a bit stale. As such, they’ve quietly released a new PS4 and Xbox One remaster of one of their past sandbox series.

Huawei ha hecho su elección; incluirá USB Tipo-C en su Google Nexus

El día de ayer fue muy positivo para los seguidores incondicionales de los dispositivos Google Nexus y de Huawei tras conocer buena parte de sus especificaciones y detalles del mismo. Por otro lado, aún faltan otros tantos componentes que aún se desconoce de sus características y sobretodo su aspecto físico, que en cuestión de semanas deberíamos empezar a apreciar diversas filtraciones y sabremos si compartirá cierto parecido con la familia Ascend Mate de Huawei.

Por otro lado, la rumorología siempre es bienvenida y gracias a HDBlog hemos sido informados de ciertos detalles que aseguran aún más nuestras esperanzas de tener entre manos antes de final de año un terminal con lo último en cuanto a componentes del mercado.

Google Nexus de Huawei tendrá conector USB Tipo-C

De hecho no es nada sorprendente, pero sí cabe decir que es una excelente elección por parte de Huawei el usar el conector USB Tipo-C por las bondades que nos aporta, como una mayor velocidad de transferencia y potencia de salida mayor para cargar aún más rápido el terminal.

A falta de confirmación, sus especificaciones serían las siguientes:

  • Pantalla QHD de 5,7 pulgadas
  • Procesador Qualcomm Snapdragon 820
  • 4 GB de RAM –¿LPDDR4?–
  • 32 o 64 GB de almacenamiento interno
  • Lector de huellas dactilares
  • USB Tipo-C
  • Batería alrededor de 3.500 mAh
  • Acabado metálico
  • Lanzamiento en noviembre junto a Android M

La elección de este futuro estándar de conectores USB es para hacerle frente al resto de terminales que también han optado por él, como es el caso del OnePlus 2, que sí ha confirmado algunos detalles acerca del tipo y la cantidad de RAM incluida, además del USB Tipo-C.

Sin embargo, otras firmas como Sony ya mencionaron su escaso interés –a corto plazo– de incluir un nuevo conector USB a sus terminales, quizás acertado para muchos por el hecho de ser algo habitual y disponer en cualquier lugar de cargador compatible, o no por su mínima implicación por innovar en sus dispositivos.

Desde este momento solo cabe esperar con paciencia una filtración que nos revele su aspecto físico, entonces podremos dar por concluido nuestro interés hacia él, o elevar aún más las ansias de hacerse con uno de ellos.

Marshall’s new smartphone is every audiophile’s dream

If you have spent or have ever considered spending an embarrassingly large amounts of money on a perfect set oh headphones, than you have definitely acquainted yourself with Marshall Amplification and its impressive portfolio of pure audio awesomeness.

The latest addition in the said lineup is a somewhat unexpected detour into the mobile market, but definitely looks cool and needless to say, should sound amazing. It is simply called London and on the surface appears to be nothing more than a tricked-out smartphone. However, Marshall has managed to design a unique music-centric phone not quite like any other we have seen and it really looks like every audiophile's dream.

It is equipped with a dedicated Wolfson WM8281 Audio Hub, which delivers high quality decoding performance and sound quality, not to mention lossless audio support.

The volume button has been swapped with a scroll wheel, for perfect precision when adjusting levels. London also has two front-facing speakers and even two separate stereo jacks.

Marshall claims it "might just be the loudest mobile phone on Earth" but it is also quite flexible, as the two audio outputs have separate volume controls!

And finally there is a dedicated "M-button" on top of the phone which can grant you instant one-click access to your music, regardless of the player.

And speaking of software tricks, there is also a powerful system-wide equalizer, as well as a few bundled Audio apps to get you going, like DJ-APP and LoopStack.

As for the rest of the phone's specs sheet, the other features are really not that impressive, but they aren't the main focus of the endeavor anyway. The Marshall London has a 4.7-inch IPS 720p screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC. Memory is set at 2GB and 16GB of onboard storage, but, naturally, there is a micorSD card slot as well, seeing how FLAC audio piles up quick. The camera setup consists of an 8MP main shooter and a 2MP front-facing one. London is powered by a removable 2500 mAh battery and boots Android Lollipop 5.0.2.

The asking price is 4,995 Swedish Krona, or about $585 – quite steep for the aforementioned specs, but still unique and thus surely desirable in the right circles. It is currently in pre-order state and is expected to start shipping no earlier than August 17.
