Small LPT: Use trash (from fishing for example) as fuel for your furnaces!

As people are using AFK fishing farms lately, lots of trash is collected along with the fish, and wanted books. I recently built an own farm as well for that purpose, but rather then just throwing away the trash into a cactus or lava, I use it as fuel for my auto smelter.

Yes, fuel like (char)coal, Blaze rods and lava buckets are in huge numbers available, but using the trash you collect (bowls, worthless fishing rods, bows and sticks (even though I collect those for tools), you'll save fuel which could be used later on! According to the Minecraft Wiki, for example, if you use 6 trash bows from fishing, you'll save 1 coal block. This isn't much at the beginning, but the fuel you'll save up will stack over time, and that'll save you a lot!

This is just a small idea I got yesterday. It may seem stupid and the savings might be negligible, but it'll still save you some coal blocks in the long run.

[PC] Simple auto-clicker that can be used in the background (Windows only) via /r/Minecraft

[PC] Simple auto-clicker that can be used in the background (Windows only)

I wrote a simple program that allows a player to auto-click while the Minecraft window does not have focus.

It allows you to do stuff like AFK fishing or AFK exp grinding while you browse reddit or anything else while the Minecraft window is in the background.

Clicker Window

You can view the source, or download the .exe from my github repo:

(Always recommended to run any .exe through VirusTotal to make sure it is safe)

Auto-Clicker

This is stated in the readme on github, but you will also need to set "pauseOnLostFocus" to "false" in your options.txt, otherwise it will not work.

To use it, simply do the action you want to repeat once and then bring up the menu (default Escape). Then click "Start" in the application!

When you want to stop, click "Stop" and it will stop the action and bring the menu up again.

Enjoy!

What certain rules do you add to your survival play through to make it less boring? via /r/Minecraft

What certain rules do you add to your survival play through to make it less boring?

I'm not talking about mods, im talking about vanilla changes. One of my favorite one was making it so that every day in minecraft I have to update to the version after it, I started at the very first version and right now I'm somewhere in the Alpha, it's like an epic train through memory lane, followed by world corruptions and such.
