Today Motorola has sent out invites for a special event it will hold on July 28. A past rumor said the new Moto G will be announced on that same day.
This is unlikely to be a coincidence. Alongside the Moto G (2015), other new handsets could be outed too. For example, the Moto X (2015), and maybe even the new Droid-branded flagship for Verizon. Something called Moto X Sport might see the light of day as well, since it was referenced in one carrier leak from last week.
If you look at the image above, it seems that Motorola 'signed' it "XOX. Moto", but on closer inspection it may actually be "XGX" – in which case it's clear that we should expect two Moto X models and a Moto G.
This year's Moto G has been rumored to sport a 5-inch 720p touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front-facing unit, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410 SoC running the show (with a 1.4 GHz quad-core CPU), 1 or 2GB of RAM, 8 or 16GB of storage, and a 2,470 mAh battery. It should run Android 5.1 Lollipop from day…

If you have spent or have ever considered spending an embarrassingly large amounts of money on a perfect set oh headphones, than you have definitely acquainted yourself with Marshall Amplification and its impressive portfolio of pure audio awesomeness.
The latest addition in the said lineup is a somewhat unexpected detour into the mobile market, but definitely looks cool and needless to say, should sound amazing. It is simply called London and on the surface appears to be nothing more than a tricked-out smartphone. However, Marshall has managed to design a unique music-centric phone not quite like any other we have seen and it really looks like every audiophile's dream.
It is equipped with a dedicated Wolfson WM8281 Audio Hub, which delivers high quality decoding performance and sound quality, not to mention lossless audio support.
The volume button has been swapped with a scroll wheel, for perfect precision when adjusting levels. London also has two front-facing speakers and even two separate stereo jacks.
Marshall claims it "might just be the loudest mobile phone on Earth" but it is also quite flexible, as the two audio outputs have separate volume controls!
And finally there is a dedicated "M-button" on top of the phone which can grant you instant one-click access to your music, regardless of the player.
And speaking of software tricks, there is also a powerful system-wide equalizer, as well as a few bundled Audio apps to get you going, like DJ-APP and LoopStack.
As for the rest of the phone's specs sheet, the other features are really not that impressive, but they aren't the main focus of the endeavor anyway. The Marshall London has a 4.7-inch IPS 720p screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC. Memory is set at 2GB and 16GB of onboard storage, but, naturally, there is a micorSD card slot as well, seeing how FLAC audio piles up quick. The camera setup consists of an 8MP main shooter and a 2MP front-facing one. London is powered by a removable 2500 mAh battery and boots Android Lollipop 5.0.2.
The asking price is 4,995 Swedish Krona, or about $585 – quite steep for the aforementioned specs, but still unique and thus surely desirable in the right circles. It is currently in pre-order state and is expected to start shipping no earlier than August 17.
Thanks for the tip Jan…

After all the leaks and elevated attention, at this point we are almost certain that the Galaxy Note 5 is indeed coming pretty soon, most probably on August 12. By all accounts, it is going to come along with another new device – the Galaxy S6 edge Plus – an odd beefier version of Samsung's current edged flagship.
Today both smartphones got their FCC certifications, making them legal to sell within the US, which is another hint for nearing release.
The certificates in question are issued for the Verizon versions of the Note 5 (SM-920V) and the Galaxy S6 edge Plus (SM-G928V), as well as their respective AT&T counterparts – SM-N920A and SM-G928A. We can only expect that T-Mobile and Sprint variants will follow shortly.
As far as we currently know, the Note 5 will sport a 5.7-inch HD Super AMOLED display, will be powered by the new in-house Exynos 7422 SoC and have 4GB of RAM and a 16MP OIS camera. The Galaxy S6 edge Plus should be about the same in terms of size. It will, however, run on the slower Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC.

Looks like Apple's virtual assistant Siri has an interesting response to a certain command. When you ask it to "charge my phone 100 percent," the software instead begins calling emergency services.
At the face of it, this may seem to be a bug, but it could also be a feature to secretly call the police in desperate situations, although it isn't officially mentioned anywhere.
The behaviour is reproducible on iOS 8, but not in the public beta of iOS 9, suggesting it probably is a bug. Anyway, should you test this out at your end, make sure you cancel the call in the five-second window that Siri gives unless you want a cop at your door.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 crawled out of obscurity over the past few weeks and thanks to a couple of supposedly genuine renders, one coming from @onleaks, the other one courtesy of a casemaker, we now have a pretty complete picture of the upcoming top-shelf phablet. And while those renders may be right on the money, they stick to color schemes suitable for 3D modeling.
It's nice then that a bunch of people have put in the effort to make a more true to life rendition of the Note 5, based on the first render, and post it online. So we have the successor to the Galaxy Note 4 presented in white attire, ready for a 360-degree spin.
We enjoy the near bezelless look, but the array of sensors next to the earpiece draws way to much attention to itself, now that they're not mere circles, but actual contrasting cutouts. A dark colored Note 5 will mask them better probably, but then again it may not need to as they may end up being fewer and smaller if the casemaker's intel is more precise. The earpiece itself is perhaps a bit too fat as well, but that may also be subject to change.
Now, we're more than a little skeptical that the task switcher capacitive button on the left will sit higher than the back button, as the designers will have you believe, but that's likely an oversight. Either way, we may get to see the actual device unveiled as soon as August 12, so stay tuned.

Today brings a new piece in the seemingly endless OnePlus 2 puzzle – the phone will have two SIM cards and even-better, dual standby. The announcement was made by the company's CEO – Liu Zuohu, through weibo.com.
A lot of people are looking forward to the OnePlus 2. And to avoid letdowns similar to its predecessor, the OnePlus team has also promised that it will have 50 time more inventory of the upcoming handset, compared to the OnePlus One.
Unfortunately, there will once again be an invite system, but now upgraded with reservation lists and better post-purchase sharable invites. Besides, with the extended inventory getting an invite should be much easier this time around.
To sum up what we currently know about the OnePlus 2 – it will most-likely have a metal build, a 3,300 mAh battery abd 4G LTE with support for more bands. 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM on a Snapdragon 810 SoC are confirmed as is the 13MP main camera.
Last, but definitely not least, CEO Pete Lau has also promised that the phone will have a price tab below $450, hopefully it will come as close as possible to the $299 the OnePlus One originally retailed for.
