The Moto G (3rd gen) just can't stop leaking, it seems. The device is due to get official at Motorola's special event on July 28. Yet in the meantime we keep hearing more and more things about it.
This time around we have a couple of shots of a Moto G (3rd gen) dummy unit.
As you can see, the leaked pics confirm some of the phone's specs for the umpteenth time. The IPx7 certification that we reported on once before is in after all. This means the handset should be able to withstand being submerged into up to 1m of water for up to 30 minutes. Do keep in mind, however, that unlike certain rugged smartphones, the new Moto G will not be dust proof.
Moving on, we find out that we should expect a quad-core CPU to be in there, along with a microSD card slot, a 13 MP main camera with LED flash, and a 5 MP front-facing unit. The device will have 4G LTE support too.
This is all that the dummy unit reveals, but the full specs for the Moto G (3rd gen) have been floating around for days now. It's also supposed to get a 5-inch 720p touchscreen, a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with a 1.4 GHz quad-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a 2,470 mAh battery. It will run Android 5.1…

Today was a big launch day for all of Sprint's prepaid brands, it seems. Earlier we've seen the LG Tribute 2 making its debut at two of them, but Boost Mobile hasn't been ignored either.
This carrier has launched the ZTE Boost Max+ phablet. It's got a 5.7-inch 720p IPS touchscreen with Gorilla Glass, an 8 MP main camera, a 1 MP selfie snapper, and a 3,400 mAh battery.
It's powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, aided by 2GB of RAM. The internal storage amount is 16GB. The Boost Max+ supports Sprint'S LTE network. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
You can already buy one from Boost Mobile's website. The ZTE Boost Max+ costs $199.99 without a long-term contract…

Microsoft is due to officially launch Windows 10 for PCs on July 29. As we get closer to that date, expect the software giant to roll out an increasingly complex ad campaign, making sure everyone knows about the new version of Windows.
The first Windows 10 ad has gone up already, and it's all about the kids. They're the future.
The main takeaway here seems to be how future-proof Windows 10 is supposed to be. Or rather, how it will appeal to future generations of PC users, no matter where in the world they may be located.
Some emphasis is placed on Windows 10's security (logging in without passwords), as well as the touch support and Cortana – these are all features we expect to see more of in the next…

A new entry-level smartphone has been announced by Sprint today. Depending on where you buy it from, it's either called LG Tribute 2 or LG Tribute Duo.
It should become available later today both at Sprint Prepaid as well as Virgin Mobile. At Sprint, it's known as the LG Tribute Duo, while at Virgin Mobile its moniker is LG Tribute 2.
Odd naming decisions aside, this is the exact same smartphone on the inside. It comes with a 4.5-inch 854×480 touchscreen, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, support for Sprint's Spark 4G LTE network, and a 1,900 mAh battery. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
You can count on 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, a 5 MP rear camera, and a VGA selfie shooter. The power and volume buttons are on the back, emulating the placement found in LG's high-end offerings. On the software side, certain features from more expensive LG devices are present too, such as Knock Code, QuickMemo+, and Gesture Shot.
The LG Tribute 2 is priced at $99.99 (plus tax) at both Sprint Prepaid and Virgin Mobile. That price is obviously valid without the requirement of signing a long-term contract, since we're talking about prepaid brands here.

Over the weekend, Motorola's Moto Hint wireless headset got a pretty big price cut. And now we know why.
The company has quietly launched the improved 2nd generation of the accessory. Best Buy is already selling the new Moto Hint + for $129.99 with free shipping.
According to its packaging, the new Moto Hint comes with a bigger battery which will allow for up to 70% more talk time. It also sports an "improved fit for enhanced audio", as well as advanced voice control capabilities.
From afar, you wouldn't be able to tell it apart from its predecessor, but those upgrades do make sense – especially the better battery life, a crucial bit when we're talking about a wireless headset. You should now get up to 17 hours of talk time, compared to the original model's 10.
The new Moto Hint supports Bluetooth 3.0, and it has CrystalTalk noise and wind-canceling technology built-in.

Last week we found out that Huawei is planning to add a new member to its Honor family. This will be called Honor 4A, and it's due to be made official at a special event tomorrow.
And now, just one day before that, we finally get some leaked details about it. These come courtesy of TENAA, the Chinese equivalent to the FCC.
The agency has certified the Honor 4A for sale in the country, and this process has revealed that it will sport a 5-inch touchscreen and a 2,200 mAh battery. Its dimensions will be 143.5 x 72.1 x 8.5 mm. It will have dual-SIM support, and it should work on the networks of all the Chinese carriers.
That's it from the official source, but some rumors have started circulating in China filling in the blanks. The display resolution is said to be 720p, while the SoC at the helm is expected to be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 210, aided by 2GB of RAM apparently. The Honor 4A will reportedly come with 16GB of storage (presumably of the expandable sort).
Pricing information has sadly not been included in the rumors, so all we can say for sure is that the Honor 4A will be cheap. How much so is something we'll only find out tomorrow, when it gets announced.

The specs of the Motorola Moto G (3rd gen) are becoming an increasingly hotter topic with the approach of the smartphone's inevitable launch. One of the main points for discussion has been the amount of RAM the next-gen will come equipped with.
Initial data pointed to a single gig for a third generation in a row, but rumors have been persisting that it may in fact be 2GB, most recently fueled by a retailer listing. Well, indeed that appears to be the case, as indicated by an entry on Indian import/export database site Zauba.
The latest intel states that a total of 190 units have entered the country for testing purposes, half of them white, the others black. The listing clearly shows the smartphone to come with 2GB of RAM, though it doesn't reveal anything else in terms of hardware.
What it does specify is the unit price of the prototype devices and the INR 15,200 figure translates into roughly $240, with the black ones marginally cheaper than the white. And while the numbers should by no means be treated as final, they sit quite a bit higher than the $180 price tag of the Moto G (2nd gen) at launch.
However, none of this is official info coming from Motorola, so we'll reserve judgement until we get to read an actual press…

The Microsoft Band, which was made official back in October last year with a $199 price tag, can now be yours for just $150 as US retailer Target is offering a discount of 25% on the device.
The promotion expires on July 25, which means that you need to act fast as you just have a week's time. Another point worth mentioning here is that the offer is valid in-store only.
If you aren't already aware, the Microsoft Band packs in ten sensors that allow it to measure heart rate, stress levels, and UV exposure among others. It also has a built-in GPS. Available in three sizes, the wearable device works with Windows Phone, iOS, as well as Android devices.
