Elecciones generan 6 millones de tuits

Twitter dio a conocer que durante las 24 horas de la jornada electoral del primero de julio, la conversación política sumó seis millones de mensajes en esta red social y los temas punteros en el entorno se centraron en corrupción, violencia, seguridad y economía.
El candidato con mayor número de menciones durante la jornada fue Andrés Manuel López Obrador, virtual ganador de la presidencia del país, con 68% de ellas, seguido del panista Ricardo Anaya con 17% y el candidato de la coalición PRI-PVEM-Panal José Antonio Meade en tercero con 11%.
Jaime Rodríguez Calderón quedó en último sitio con 4% de las menciones.

Al ver la fotografía completa de los tuits generados desde el inicio de las campañas hasta el día de la elección, la cuenta total sumó 37 millones de conversaciones, impulsados sobre todo por los hashtags #Elecciones2018, #EleccionesMéxico2018 y #Votolibre.
Aunque las menciones de López Obrador se llevaron la mayor parte de las menciones en la conversación en Twitter, los dos tuits más destacados en este mismo espacio de tiempo fueron los que emitieron tanto el presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, al reconocer la victoria de AMLO y el del expresidente Felipe Calderón, en ese mismo contexto.
