While Slack went on the offensive, Microsoft didn’t take the bait as CEO Satya Nadella unveiled its rival product, Microsoft Teams. But Teams’ early appeal to big customers like Accenture and a feature coming at general launch should have Slack concerned.

Arch Linux 2016.11.01 ya disponible para su descarga

LLega noviembre y sale Arch Linux 2016.11.01. La nueva versión de la distribución Linux ya está disponible para su descarga. Puedes acceder a la ISO desde su página oficial. Esta noticia gustará sin duda a todos los usuarios que siguen fieles a esta distribución Linux, que para nada es la más amigable y sencilla, pero su simplicidad, flexibilidad  y potencial hacen que la facilidad pase a un segundo plano. No obstante la Wiki del proyecto facilita mucho las cosas para todos aquellos que no tengan tanta experiencia y quieran adentrarse en el mundo Arch.

La nueva versión de Arch Linux 2016 viene con notables mejoras, entre ellas la incorporación del nuevo kernel Linux 4.8.6, una versión más reciente del núcleo que potencia la distro. Además del kernel, el resto de paquetes preinstalados que que se incorporan en la ISO del sistema operativo también han sido actualizados a sus últimas versiones hasta los lanzamientos estables que estaban disponibles en octubre.  Sin duda puedes actualizar tu Arch o si aun no lo has probado puedes descargar la imagen y comenzar desde ya a conocer las bondades de Arch.

Por supuesto se han incluido otras mejoras más allá de las actualizaciones de los paquetes y del kernel, mejorando algunos desperfectos y añadiendo algunas novedades como suele ser habitual en los proyectos. Por tanto, nos dejan una buena imagen para poder instalar tanto en nuestro servidor como en nuestro equipo personal, la flexibilidad de este sistema que viene casi “desnudo” es extrema y puede adaptarse a todo. Las imágenes ISO las podrás encontrar tanto en versión de 64 como 32 bit según el equipo que uses.

Puedes descargar la imagen ISO de algo menos de 800MB de tamaño accediendo a la zona de descargas de la web del proyecto, por tanto no es tan pesada como la de otras distribuciones, eso sí, necesitarás de trabajo extra para dejarla a tu gusto. En esta web encontrarás todo lo necesario, servidores diferentes, sumas de seguridad para verificar la ISO una vez la descargues, documentación, etc. Y para más ayuda puedes acudir a este enlace de su ArchWiki.

How do I break it to a friend that she sucks at minecraft and I do not want her help on my builds?

I had a single player world set up at home and my 2 roomates asked me to open it to Lan so we could play together. No, problem that sounded awesome!

I had everything pretty much sectioned off for my little village I was creating and told them my plans for what I was doing and where everything was going. I told them that X area nearby is free and that if they wished to build anything to go for it over in that area and they could connect it to my road/rail system too.

Both roomates did that until, roomate "A" got bored with her shitty dirt hut and started building somewhere else and kept making these monstrosities everywhere but I didn't care because they were outside my gates… until they weren't. She keeps trying to "help" by building my planned things before I get to them. I have told her to stop, I told her the only reason I play is to build so when she builds what I plan on building it literally makes the game unplayable for me. I have destroyed her creations inside my walls and tried to find a way to put protections up like online servers but I don't think I can on single player.

roomate "B" is fun to play with so I always open up to LAN and roomate "A" joins with him. I think roomate "A" understands that she is pissing me off but doesn't grasp that her "help" is what is causing it. (English is a 2nd language to her), she has stopped building ugly things and then started copying tutorials from youtube to "help" me and I keep telling her I do not want her to build in my walls. I think that may have started to sink in but now she just puts random things in places. She keeps putting pressure plates in front of my doors so they auto open/close… keeps putting enchanting tables everywhere, like 1 in each building and the same for anvils behind every building, and nether portals all over the place (mostly outside my walls but it is still annoying)

I honestly don't think she is trying to grief me and I feel like I have been quite direct and even a little mean, roomate "B" gets it and he tries to curb her enthusiastic "help" but also thinks it is hilarious. She never messes with his builds, not sure why.
