2015 worldwide spending on digital commerce platform software reached approximately $4.7B, attaining 15% year-over-year increase according to Gartner.
Gartner estimates that the digital commerce platform market will grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of over 15% from 2015 through 2020, including revenue from SaaS, licenses, and maintenance.
Gartner predicts that by 2018, 40% of B2B digital commerce sites will use price optimization algorithms and configure, price, quote (CPQ) tools to calculate and deliver product pricing dynamically.
Forrester estimates that B2B e-Commerce will top $1.1 trillion and account for 12.1% of all B2B sales in the US by 2020.

One of the world’s leading experts in the electrification of cars says that hybrid technology has already reached price parity with diesel, and as the cost of diesel cars goes up due to tougher regulations, the widening cost gap should hasten the demise of diesel even more. Due to their cost, the share of pure battery-electric vehicles should not go above an impressive 30% for the next 10 or 20 years, the expert told me.

Despite skidding sales and early bets that its latest smartphone won’t do well in China, Apple won’t be giving any bargains to its fans in the world’s biggest smartphone market, according to newly released global prices for the iPhone 7. The move comes as a bit of a surprise, since Apple desperately needs to reverse its recent downward plunge in China, which is now its second biggest global market after only the U.S. But a number of factors are at play here, including a rapidly devaluing Chinese currency and also Apple’s hesitation to lower its prices into the same realm as some of its fast-rising homegrown Chinese rivals.
