McKinsey Predicts Enterprises Are Adopting Cloud Faster As IT Shifts From Build To Buy

Enterprises’ adoption of IaaS as the primary environment for workloads will jump from 10% in 2015 to 51% in 2018.
In 2015, 77% of enterprises used traditionally built IT infrastructure as the primary environment for at least one workload; by 2018, this will drop to 43%.
Enterprises are likely to choose “hyperscale” providers such as Amazon, Google, and Microsoft, which have the largest capacity.
Time-to-market and quality are accelerating cloud adoption in the enterprise with security and compliance being top concerns.

Ya disponible Debian 8.6, la nueva actualización de seguridad de Jessie

En las últimas horas se ha lanzado una versión nueva llamada Debian 8.6, esta versión no es nueva sino más bien una actualización de seguridad que no representa ningún cambio drástico en la distribución aunque si será más segura que la primera Debian 8.

Debian 8.6 no quiere decir que tengamos que tirar todas las versiones anteriores de Debian 8 al contrario, podremos obtener lo mismo gracias a nuestra conexión de internet y a un par de comandos en la terminal. El proceso no durará mucho tiempo y menos si realmente tenemos el repositorio security habilitado y usado durante estos últimos meses.

Debian 8.6 o también conocido como Debian Jessie incorpora actualizaciones de los principales paquetes de la distribución o al menos de los paquetes más famosos como Apache2, tzdata, cmake, Clamav o incluso el famoso plugin de flash que se actualiza ya en esta versión.

Debain 8.6 no es una versión nueva sino más bien una actualización

El otro punto nuevo de Debian Jessie o Debian 8.6 es la inclusión de actualizaciones de seguridad o corrección de bugs que la versión tenía. En este punto muchos ya tendréis estas actualizaciones ya que se han lanzado durante estos meses, aquí sólo se reúne en una misma instalación.

Si queremos tener una distribución estable y segura siempre es recomendable actualizarla y más cuando son grandes actualizaciones como esta Debian 8.6. Si realmente usáis Debian, seguramente ya tendréis el mensaje de instalación de esta actualización pero si no tenéis Debian y queréis instalarlo, os recomiendo que os paséis por esta página web donde encontraréis el instalador de la distribución en formatos distintos, adaptados a nuestra plataforma y exigencias.

Personalmente siempre he creído que Debian es una gran distribución, una estable y gran distribución que a muchos encanta y con una gran comunidad y como buen ejemplo de esto tenemos esta versión, una versión fruto del trabajo del equipo de Debian y de su Comunidad. Es por ello que Debian sigue tan vivo como al principio, algo que no ocurre por desgracia con otras distribuciones.
