This game can be so beautiful with the right mods
I recently decided to get back into playing survival Minecraft, but first decided to try some mods. I started with Optifine, as I have always have. But I realized I didn't like the look of some textures. So I made a resource pack, changing the big oak and acacia leaves, adding a custom sky, connected textures, and some little textures here and there. And then I decided to make my playthrough modded. I added Sildur's Vibrant Shaders in to start. I have never really found a way to enjoy heavily modded Minecraft, so I just installed a few smaller ones. Starting with Quark, a mod I found here on this subreddit. Then I added Biomes O' Plenty, another mod I have used for a while. With a few more minor utility mods in place, I booted up the game, and was amazed with how it looked. But, I felt I was missing one more thing. I added in the Better Foliage mod, but not in a very conventional way. I disabled almost everything the mod had to offer, only keeping the water plants and the falling leaves pretty much. But even without a majority of features I could have had, I am in love with how this game looks now, and I don's think I could be happier playing this game again. So here are a few screenshots of the wild and some builds of mine! Thanks for looking.
tl;dr – I modded my game to look pretty, here's some pictures
