Why give away something that you created yourself that gives your company an advantage? Fast-rising Chinese smartphone marker Oppo topped China’s smartphone market share for the first time last month, according to a recent report by research firm Counterpoint Technology Market Research. Oppo surpasses Huawei, Apple and Xiaomi with a record 22.9% market share as its shares volume jumped 337% annually for the month.
