After a deadly explosion in Lahore, Pakistan on Sunday, Facebook activated its ‘Safety Check’ feature. However, a bug caused many users thousands of miles away from the apparent suicide bombing to mistakenly receive a prompt asking whether or not they were safe.

Persistent Lag in Minecraft 1.9 Remains Unfixed
Minecraft 1.9 is a lag-fest. Tick rate slowly drops over time to the point of being unplayable on servers sporting more than 5 players. It's horrible. Minecraft SMP players can't live with this lag indefinitely. It needs fixed in a patch sooner, not later.
Here's a video (made by slicedlime) demonstrating an experiment to reproduce the lag in 1.9 and comparing it to Minecraft 1.8.9:
"How Much Does Minecraft 1.9 Lag, And Why?"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8hLFol9j5M
This is the still unresolved (reopened) bug report regarding the lag issues:
"Server: Massive Lag in any snapshots post-15w47c"
I love Mojang and I love the features in 1.9, but this lag is affecting everyone, especially servers. I do not know how to communicate to Mojang that this is an issue that needs fixed. I don't believe Mojang has been deliberately ignoring this, I believe they may just not be aware of it.
New bugs on the bug tracker will simply be marked as duplicate and lead back to the one I posted earlier, so I'm posting here because I know Mojang devs frequent this subreddit.
Edit: Also to add, the lag still exists in 1.9.1 Pre-Release 3

Will this state ban texting while walking?
Assemblywoman Pamela R. Lampitt has proposed a bill that would fine texter-walkers $50 and, for persistent offenders, offer 15 days in jail.

Last week’s reveal of the iPhone SE has started many conversations, but one of them is a simple question of the visible unknown. What does ‘SE’ stand for? Here are twenty-five explanations of what the SE in the iPhone SE name could stand for. I’ll even promise you a definitive answer if you read to the end.

Why can’t we hover over something in our inventory and press “F” to put it in our offhand slot?
We can already hover over stuff and press the number keys to put it in the corresponding slot in our hotbar, we should be able to do it with our offhand too.

Back in 2000 in Silicon Valley — when one of the first big bubbles burst — I had the great fortune of finding refuge inside a startup that was recession proof. Many reasons for us, including the fact that the CEO despised all the silly, high-spending sales-and-marketing shenanigans that nearly crushed our local economy. She had also taken a fancy to a then-small company called Google, which seemed to be approaching marketing in an entirely different way.
