Yoigo sale a la venta por 600 millones de euros

Yoigo es una de las mayores operadoras de telefonía móvil en España. Concretamente, ocupa el cuarto lugar de entre todas las grandes operadoras nacionales. La operadora sueca TeliaSonera controla el 76,6% de Yoigo, y hoy, gracias a nuestros compañeros de Voltaico, tenemos noticias de que pretenden venderla

Por el momento ya hay un par de grupos pendientes de la operación de venta. La pequeña MásMóvil estaría interesada en conseguir los 600 millones que TeliaSonera pide por Yoigo. MásMóvil está en pleno crecimiento y movimientos como este nos hacen ver las intenciones de crecimiento que tienen en mente.

En el año 2015 Yoigo obtuvo un beneficio bastante considerable respecto a años anteriores. Parece que la compañía está en la senda del crecimiento, elevando sus ganancias hasta un 5% respecto al año 2014.

Hace un par de años, TeliaSonera hizo intentó vender Yoigo, aunque la venta no llegó a hacerse efectiva. Un año después, lo volvieron a intentar y Jazztel intentó hacerse con Yoigo. Parece ser que no hubo acuerdo en las condiciones de venta.

Como puedes ver, no es la primera vez que Yoigo sale a la venta, aunque estos intentos nunca llegaron a buen puerto. Esta vez puede que sea la definitiva, aunque tendremos que esperar para ver si realmente Yoigo llega a venderse y a quién llega a pertenecer.

Conclusión

Si Yoigo llegase a ser comprada por alguna operadora o por algún grupo inversor importante, quedaría demostrado que en España siguen avanzando las compañías telefónicas. La compra de operadoras por parte de otras operadoras es ya algo habitual en nuestro país, y algo que seguramente sigamos viendo los próximos años.

Debemos tener en cuenta que la principal interesada, MásMóvil, es una operadora mucho más pequeña que las demás. Con la compra de Yoigo podría posicionarse en el mercado español de una forma mucho más significativa. Podría ofrecernos muchos más servicios y empezar a crecer como empresa de una forma astronómica.

Las próximas semanas tendremos algo más de luz sobre este asunto, e informaremos de cómo afectará esto a los usuarios y a las propias empresas. No hay duda de que el mercado de las compañías no para de crecer y la venta de Yoigo es tan solo un ejemplo más.

Google is reportedly partnering with Vizio to put Chromecast tech in TVs

When Google created the Chromecast, it gained plenty of attention. But one downside of the Chromecast is that it’s still an accessory that you have to plug into your TV. With the rise of smart TVs that have the tech built directly into them, it’s becoming slightly antiquated to continue plugging accessories into them.

That could soon change with the Chromecast, however, as Variety is reporting that Google is partnering with Vizio to build Chromecast tech directly into TVs. The TVs won’t be smart TVs, but they will feature Google Cast built directly into them, so your other devices will recognize them in the same way that they’d recognize a Chromecast.

Google isn’t playing the exclusivity game, though. Variety reports that the tech giant has approached at least one other TV manufacturer in regards to a similar partnership. With Google looking to bring casting functionality directly to TVs, it’s also possible that the company could have plans to merge Android TV and casting technology.

Additionally, Vizio may be planning to change the system by using the remote. According to this report, the company could be ditching a traditional remote in exchange for a tablet. This tablet would be pre-loaded with apps for streaming and casting content.

At this point, there’s still a lot of speculation surrounding the matter, but with the launch of Vizio’s new TVs reportedly coming this spring, it may not be long before we hear official word on the matter.
