Google has posted a few snapshots of Android Support Library 23.2 including an interesting pair that seems to showcase a Bluetooth connection interface complete with a new UI element – a sandwich menu. This could be a sneak preview of a new setting layout within the next Android N version of the OS or not.
But, considering the screencaps showcase the new Day/Night modes in the AppCompact theme and by design the Android Support Library usually works across many Android versions, we are a lot more inclined to believe that Google is simply using an internal app with a Bluetooth menu to showcase the new feature.

Such is the case with the just announced Bottom Sheets feature, which is showcased in the Google Maps app where this new design element is used to show context info. It can also be used to display info that is usually found on pop-ups.

El Proyecto Nexus ha albergado a una gran cantidad de fabricantes en el proceso de creación de la familia de smartphones de Google. Entre sus filas podemos mencionar a HTC, quien inauguró el proyecto, Samsung, LG, quien ha mencionado que no colaborará con Google este año, Huawei y Motorola.
Es esta última compañía, ahora propiedad de Lenovo, quien toma el protagonismo en este artículo, pues recientemente en una entrevista exclusiva con el sitio TechRadar, Adrienne Hayes, Gerente de mercadotecnia de Motorola, realizó algunas declaraciones bastante interesantes que dan pie a un sinfín de especulaciones.
Recordemos que fue en 2014 cuando Google recurrió a Motorola para dar vida al Nexus 6, terminal que contaba con especificaciones propias de un tope de gama, pero que también llegó con un precio propio de dicho segmento. Este factor dio como resultado una muy pobre aceptación en el mercado ya que se alejaba mucho de la esencia de anteriores Nexus, los cuales ofrecían especificaciones por encima de la media a precios muy contenidos.
A pesar de esto, Hayes declara que trabajar con Google fue una experiencia bastante agradable, ya que la compañía tuvo total libertad en el proceso de diseño del dispositivo. El único punto negativo que esta ejecutiva menciona es que, para su gusto, el Nexus 6 tuvo una pantalla muy grande, pero eso fue lo que Google demandó en el momento.
Por otro lado, Hayes menciona que la experiencia de trabajar codo a codo con Google fue tan gratificante que admite que a Motorola le gustaría fabricar otro smartphone Nexus. Sin duda una declaración bastante llamativa, aunque lo más seguro es que jamás se lleve a cabo, debido a los rumores de que HTC será el encargado de los Nexus de este año, cerrando así un ciclo para dar paso al control total de Google sobre sus terminales.
