Los Sony Xperia Z5, Z4 tablet y Z3+ se actualizan al fin a Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Si bien las malas lenguas hablan sobre la falta de actualizaciones y soporte por parte de las distintas firmas minoritarias o asiáticas respecto sus terminales, lo cierto es que las grandes corporaciones tampoco se salvan. El ejemplo más claro, Samsung, a quienes recientemente les han demandado por ese motivo.

Hoy pero, la noticia trata sobre Sony y sus últimos “topes de gama”, al menos, hasta que se presente un posible Z6 en el Mobile World Congress. Estamos hablando de los Sony’s Xperia Z5, la tablet Z4 y el Z3+, de los cuales ya conocemos la fecha para su actualización a la última versión de Android conocida: Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Actualización para el Sony Xperia Z5, Z4 tablet y Z3+ a Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Tras la noticia de Marshmallow para el Honor 7, esta vez le toca a Sony avanzar en las actualizaciones para su más preciados dispositivos, y Twitter vuelve a ser el medio para anunciarlo. Esta vez, ha sido la cuenta de Twitter de Sony Xperia de Gran Bretaña quien se ha pronunciado respecto la actualización tras ser citados en un tuit de un usuario del Z3+:

Aunque la pregunta solo iba dirigida en torno al Z3, Sony ha respondido para su último buque insignia, el Z5 y sus hermanos, además de su más reciente y quizá última tablet de Sony, la Xperia Z4. Sony por lo tanto, ha fichado la fecha para la actualización a Android 6.0 Marshmallow el 7 de marzo de 2016.

Aún así, se trata de una fecha estimada, es decir, podría ocurrir (o no) algún que otro problema y retrasarse. Sony solo informa de que se calcula que ese día esas actualizaciones ya estarán disponibles vía OTA, posiblemente. Cabe recordar que el Xperia Z5 salió al mercado en octubre de 2015, a un precio de unos 700 euros.

De todas formas, hay que ver la parte positiva, Sony no se olvida de alguno de sus anteriores dispositivos, como el Z3+, y tampoco abandona su Xperia Z4 tablet, a pesar de los rumores de que vaya a ser la última de todas. Esperemos que realmente se cumpla la fecha y que por los inicios de marzo la más reciente gama Xperia Z esté actualizada a Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Alcatel Idol Pro 4 to be a true Windows 10 beast

Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL is available with Android Lollipop and Windows 10. The model running on Microsoft’s latest OS was introduced in January and Alcatel promised there are more to come. In fact Steve Cistulli – the senior vice president of the North America region for Alcatel – spilled the beans on an upcoming ‘superphone’ later in 2016.

Today WMPowerUser got some exciting information on this particular ‘superphone’. According to their source, the Windows 10 flagship will be called the Idol Pro 4. Some of the touted specs include a 1080p display, the latest Snapdragon 820 chipset, and Continuum support.

The Alcatel OneTouch Idol Pro 4 should be launched on T-Mobile US, just like it happened with the Fierce XL mid-ranger.

The Idol Pro 4 is rumored to be under development, so there is a chance some of these specs go through some changes in the future.

LG G5 leaked out in the wild ahead of official announcement

Not that it should be surprising anymore, but another flagship has found its way in front of a camera before it can be officially announced by the manufacturer. And the world keeps spinning.

This latest leak is focused on LG’s G5, which is showing off its metal frame and dual-camera system on the back. The phone was apparently imported from the United States and subsequently posted by someone to Dubizzle, a site that lets folks sell things in the United Arab Emirates. There’s an obvious “G5″ brand on the back of the handset, and it does indeed line up with previous reports and rumors of what the handset will supposedly look like when LG unveils it later this month.

We can also see the rear fingerprint reader and power button, and volume buttons on the side. The front of the handset does look like the LG G3, for what it’s worth, but that’s not necessarily an indicator that this isn’t a G5 out in the wild.

As of the time of publishing, the original post on the selling site has been removed, but when it was live the seller was asking for 2,500 dirhams ($681 USD).

Waiting until February 21 might be tough, considering the rumors point to the G5 being one of the most impressive smartphones to date, but hopefully the leaks will tide you over until the big reveal.
