GFXBench listing reveals 4GB RAM, 16MP camera for Gionee Elife S8

After Geekbench, the Gionee Elife S8 (with model number GN9011) has now been spotted listed on GFXBench. The chipset (MediaTek MT6755), RAM (4GB), and Android OS (v6.0 Marshmallow) information revealed by the GFXBench listing is inline with the device’s Geekbench listing.

In addition, the listing also gives an idea about the handset’s camera combo – a 16MP rear unit and an 8MP front shooter – as well as internal memory (should be 64GB). Although it also says the device sports a 4.6-inch FULL HD display, keep in mind that benchmarks have got this wrong quite a few times in the past.

Gionee has already announced that its upcoming device will be launched at this year’s MWC, which starts just over a week from now. There’s little doubt that we’ll see the Elife S8 getting unveiled at the event, especially given that fact that the Elife S7 made its debut at the same event last year.

BlackBerry has pushed a new update to Android Runtime for BB10 that is aimed at fixing an issue that was introduced after installing the OS 10.3.2.2876 update that rolled out last month.

The issue in question is related to the un-installation of Android apps on BB10 devices. BlackBerry explains the issue as, “Upon uninstalling an Android application, the application icon is removed from the home screen, however, the application is still installed on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone.”

To install the update, head to the Source 2 link below from the browser of your BlackBerry 10 smartphone. Once the update process completes, just restart your device, and the Android Runtime (and hence the app removal) should work properly.

Microsoft apps to come preinstalled on Acer’s Android phones and tablets

Microsoft has entered into a partnership with Acer that will see Taiwan-based company installing the former’s apps and services on some of its Android smartphones and tablets starting H2 2016.

As for what all will come preinstalled, Microsoft did reveal a few names, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive, and Skype. There was, however, no word on exactly which of the Acer’s upcoming phones and tablets will be affected.

“We’re excited to partner with Microsoft to provide enhanced mobile productivity to our products,” said ST Liew, president of Acer Smart Products Business Group. “By integrating the Microsoft software suite, Acer customers will enjoy productivity on-the-go along with the familiar computing experience on their smartphones and tablets.”

Mutually beneficial and collaborative agreements such as this one promote innovation and lead to better products and experiences for consumers.”

Sony Xperia M5 llega oficialmente a México

Xperia M5 presetacion Mexico 2

  • Android 5.0 Lollipop
  • Cámara principal de 21,7 Mpx
  • Cámara frontal de 13 Mpx
  • Batería de 2.600 mAh
  • Conectividada a redes LTE
