Budgie Desktop también llegará a Manjaro

Manjaro Budgie DesktopManjaro ha desarrollado durante los últimos meses varios sabores con escritorios populares para sus usuarios. Esto ha hecho que muchos usuarios amantes de los escritorios se inclinen por Manjaro. Y esto parece que no terminará. Recientemente se ha visto en el foto de Manjaro el trabajo de un nuevo sabor: Manjaro Budgie Edition.

Esta versión ha empezado a desarrollarse sobre Manjaro 16.01 y ya tenemos la primera RC del nuevo sabor. Este RC de Manjaro Budgie Edition lo podemos encontrar en este hilo de foro, aunque no es recomendable su uso en equipos de producción, en todo caso, por el momento se puede usar en máquinas virtuales.

Budgie Desktop es un escritorio que está llamando mucho la atención entre los usuarios. Tras su aparición en Solus son muchas las distros que han querido insertarlo en sus repositorios oficiales o sencillamente crear ediciones especiales con este escritorio. Estamos hablando de distribuciones como Fedora, OpenSUSE, SparkyLinux, Solus o Arch Linux.

Budgie Desktop ofrece el aspecto de Gnome 2 a Manjaro

En este caso la edición de Manjaro Budgie Edition cuenta con un aspecto que nos recuerda al antiguo Gnome 2, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, el tema Arc y Manjaro Setting Printing, un programa de gestión de impresión basado en CUPS.

Desde luego que por las capturas de pantalla que se han publicado, Manjaro Budgie Edition es tal vez el sabor más bonito de todos, algo que viene dado por el escritorio Budgie, sin embargo no hay que olvidar que su base es Manjaro y que con otros sabores también podremos utilizar este nuevo escritorio. Lo que me ha llamado mucho la atención es el hecho de que el software que se incluya no está pensado para equipos con pocos recursos, ideal que mantiene a Manjaro. Puede que el nuevo sabor necesite más correcciones de lo que pensamos.
