Raytheon’s New Cybersecurity Company Name To Be Announced

In one of the biggest cybersecurity deals of the year, Raytheon Company and Vista Equity Partners completed a joint venture transaction this past May which created a new company that combined Websense, a Vista Equity portfolio company, and Raytheon Cyber Products, a product line of Raytheon’s Intelligence, Information and Services business.

Sony Xperia Z6 Lite llegará en 2016: datos sobre su pantalla, procesador, diseño y precio

Los rumores y las filtraciones sobre los smartphones que veremos el próximo año han comenzado a ser habituales. Una de las que siempre está en boca de todos es Sony, que cada temporada nos trae una nueva generación de dispositivos (o dos). La más reciente es la familia Xperia Z5, que está formada por tres miembros, por lo que la siguiente en la lista es la familia Xperia Z6.

Una familia que, según ha recogido Phone Arena, incluiría, además del Sony Xperia Z6, Xperia Z6 Mini, Xperia Z6 Compact, Xperia Z6 Plus, Xperia Z6 Ultra (dos de estos modelos llegarían con el Qualcomm Snapdragon 820), un sexto miembro, el Sony Xperia Z6 Lite, del que ya se han rumoreado algunos detalles.

Detalles como su tamaño de pantalla, que sería de 5 pulgadas, como su carcasa trasera fabricada en metal, siguiendo una línea bastante premium, y su chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 618 rebautizado a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650, que incluye un procesador principal de seis núcleos. Por tanto, estaríamos claramente ante un smartphone de gama media, a falta de saber datos como la resolución de pantalla, su configuración fotográfica, o su cantidad de memoria RAM y almacenamiento interno.

Además, también se está especulando ya con su posible precio, que se situaría en torno a los 385 dólares americanos, o lo que es lo mismo, unos 350 euros al cambio (aunque posiblemente se traducirían en no menos de 399 euros gracias a la escala 1:1).

Este Sony Xperia Z6 Lite se presentaría sobre mayo de 2016, por lo que seguramente no será el primero que veremos de la firma japonesa en el nuevo año. Antes de dicho mes, tenemos dos grandes citas en el calendario. Una, la más cercana, el CES de Las Vegas, a celebrarse a principios de enero, cita a la que no suele faltar Sony, y otra a finales de febrero, el MWC de Barcelona, la feria más grande del mundo tecnología.

Cómo actualizar el Oneplus X de manera manual y sin perder la garantía oficial

En el siguiente post, ayudado por un vídeo tutorial, os voy a explicar como actualizar el Oneplus X de manera manual y sin perder la garantía oficial del terminal.

Esto nos va a servir para actualizar directamente el terminal sin necesidad de esperar a la recepción oficial de la OTA, o a solucionar el problema con el que llegan algunos Oneplus X, sobre todo el modelo E1001, el modelo Chino, el cual nos llega sin la opción de Actualizaciones de sistema vía OTA.

Cómo podéis ver en el vídeo adjunto justo encima de estas lineas, actualizar el Oneplus X de manera manual es tan fácil como descargar la actualización oficial, en este caso la última Rom o firmware oficial completo, un archivo que pesa en torno a los 700 mb, copiarlo a la memoria interna o externa del terminal y acceder al Recovery original de Oneplis desde el cual se nos incluye la opción de actualización vía archivo local.

Cómo os digo, este proceso es esencial el realizarlo en el Oneplus X modelo E1001 o modelo Chino ya que este terminal está llegando sin la opción de Actualizaciones de sistema integrada en ajustes/información del teléfono. Así mismo, si tu terminal te ha llegado con Hydrogen OS en lugar de Oxygen OS, este es el proceso que debes seguir para dejarlo tal y como te llegaría el modelo ineternacional E1003 y poder instalar el Google Play y todos los servicios de Google.

Archivos necesarios para la Actualización del Oneplus X

Una vez actualizado desde el Recovery oficial, tal y como os muestro en el vídeo, deberéis entrar en Ajustes/información del teléfono y clicar en actualizaciones de sistema para que os salte la última actualización oficial a Oxygen OS 2.1.3x. Si esta actualización oficial no os saltará de manera automática, podréis actualizarlo igualmente de manera manual descargando estos dos archivos y actualizando igualmente desde el recovery original del Oneplus x tal y como hemos flasheado la Rom completa.

Report: Apple considering LG and Samsung as flexible OLED suppliers

Earlier this month a report came out of Japan that JDI will build up capacity to manufacture OLED displays for an upcoming iPhone. Now a report out of Korea states that Samsung Display and LG Display will be mass producing displays for the iPhones.

Like the JDI plans, this is a long-term investment for the Korean giants and the displays will ship in 2017 at the earliest or even 2018. They will invest a total of $12.8 billion over the next couple of years (Apple may provide part of that cash).

LG will kick things off with 30,000 a month of Gen. 6 units, later moving to between 45,000 and 60,000 units a month. The upper limit is set by the size of the Gen. 6 substrate – it’s enough for 60,000 5″ displays (and obviously less for bigger ones).

Interestingly, they will reportedly make flexible OLEDs. The LG factory has experience making flexible Gen. 4.5 displays, but the move Gen. 6 will be done cautiously.

Samsung Display will provide a bigger share (30% more units) because it already has a functioning manufacturing line that can supply around 90,000 displays. An estimated 200,000 displays a month is required to meet iPhone-scale sales.

ETnews reports negotiations between Samsung and Apple are not smooth sailing though. Part of the issue seems to be that Apple wants to buy the displays cheaply (single-digit percent profit margin), while Samsung Display has been making bank on selling Super AMOLEDs to Chinese smartphone companies.

Apple agrees to pay €318 million as settlement in Italian tax fraud case

Apple has agreed to pay a sum of €318 million (around $350 million) to settle an Italian tax fraud case, according to a report from the country’s daily newspaper La Repubblica.

The Cupertino-based company has been accused of tax evasion between 2008 and 2013. It is alleged that the iPhone maker failed to pay €880 million in corporate taxes during this five year period, and the amount was transferred to its subsidiary in Ireland, a country where the corporate tax rate is less than half of that in Italy.

Although the probe completed in March this year, the settlement took time as there were reportedly lengthy negotiations between Apple and Italian authorities. On its part, the country’s tax office has now confirmed that a deal has been reached, but it did not reveal the financial details of the settlement.

While Apple hasn’t yet commented on the settlement, it had earlier said that the company is “one of the largest tax payers in the world and paid every euro of tax it owed wherever it did…
