When Microsoft chief experience officer Julie Larson Green was asked if Microsoft was working on an Android fork, she said ”We’ll go wherever our customers are.” At that time the natural reaction from the mobile development community was to assume that Redmond was working towards a future where Android and Windows were close cousins.

NetApp’s CIO Helps Drive The Company’s Transformation and Innovation By Being Customer One

Like the rest of NetApp, Cynthia Stoddard’s IT team has been part of a major transformation at the company in recent years. Stoddard has been the Chief Information Officer of NetApp for nearly four years, and has helped evolve the “NetApp on NetApp” program such that IT tests products, processes, and procedures before customers, providing insights to the Engineering team, and allowing the IT team to be advocates on the company’s behalf with customers. Verizon is offering up to $650 to get you to switch carriers

Switching carriers is a big decision for a lot of people, so obviously incentives are something worth considering. And with all the major wireless networks in the United States offering up some kind of deal to grab a potential customer’s interest, being competitive still remains an important factor right out of the gate.

Verizon Wireless is stepping up its switcher promotions in an attempt to get a few more customers from other carriers to join the Big Red ranks. Right now, the carrier is offering up to $650 for someone to switch from one of the other networks. The kicker is you’ll need to sign up for a monthly device payment plan (along with your plan), trade in your current device, buy a Verizon phone in its place, and port your old number over to Verizon’s network.

The trade-in has to be in good working condition to be eligible, and Verizon says that the new line has to stay active for at least 6 months (or they can charge you that promotional reimbursement money they sent you).

The promotional money that Verizon is offering will be available via a Visa prepaid card, which the carrier says will be shipped out to you within eight weeks after receiving and accepting the trade-in. Verizon is offering up to $650 to pay off a device, or they’ll fork over $350 to pay off an early termination fee (ETF).

Do you plan on taking advantage of Verizon’s offer?
