Teletransporta a Hendrik a su casa en Blown Away: First Try

En los plataformas, solemos tener a los saltos como una de las mayores cualidades de los protagonistas de todos esos arcades en 2D que pululan por la Google Play Store. Una cualidad que va muy relacionada con todos esos personajes en los que podemos encontrar distintas alternativas como es el uso de la pértiga en Vault!, un gran plataformas de Nitrome que ha encontrado en esa herramienta tan útil la mejor forma para sortear acantilados. Un buen plataformas sin esta gran facultad seguramente que no sería lo mismo, aunque siempre está la originalidad para traer otras formas de disfrutar de un juego de este tipo tal como sucede con un curioso plataformas llamado Blown Away: First Try.

Blown Away: First Try es un plataformas especial, ya que elimina de la ecuación a los saltos para sustituirlos por la capacidad de teletransporte del curioso protagonista. Aquí nos encarnaremos en un pequeño schilimazel, un ser con muy mala suerte, en que usaremos el teletransporte para salir airosos de muchos niveles para así recuperar las partes de su casa y volver a ponerlas en su sitio para que pueda vivir tranquilo. Un arcade plataformas bastante especial por su gameplay y por su especial trato visual que le hace destacar sobre otros videojuegos. Uno indy de esos que gustan que se encuentra de forma gratuita desde la Play Store y seguramente te encandile durante un buen tiempo.

Recuperando los trozos de su casa

Hendrick es una criatura pequeña y de color blanco que tiene forma de judía y que de su cabeza surge un único y largo pelo. Su casa fue echa añicos por algunos vientos del norte y ahora debe recuperar todas las piezas para poder volver a tenerla y así tener su propia vida.

Blown Away: First Try

La mecánica de juego depende del teletransporte, pero esta cualidad no es infinita, ya que Hendrick necesita cargarse para poder utilizarla. Para poder cargar al prota necesitaremos que camine por la superficie, con la que se cargará a que esté completo y podamos utilizar rápidamente su capacidad innata de teletrasnporte. Por esto mismo deberemos de calcular bien los teletransportes para caer sobre la pieza a recoger y así caiga rápido al suelo para que se recargue de nuevo.

Una sencilla y adictiva mecánica

Blown Away: First Try es un divertido y sencillo juego con las premisas bien claras y en el que nos adentraremos de la mano de Hendrick para acceder a cuatro mundos distintos y 120 niveles que necesitaremos completar para tener la casa del protagonista lista para que vuelva a vivir en ella. Se puede pasar a través de todos los niveles sin recuperar todos los trozos perdidos, pero el objetivo es recuperarlos todos así que cada nivel deberá de ser completado con 3 estrellas, tal como sucede con otros videojuegos como en Angry Birds.

Blown Away: First Try tiene varios detalles importantes que lo hacen distinto, aparte de su mecánica de juego, y es en el diseño de los mundos, el personaje y el aspecto visual es muy destacable, lo que le convierte en un juego entrañable desde las primeras partidas. Eso sí, es gratuito pero solamente los 30 primeros niveles, ya que para acceder a los demás tenéis que pasar por caja. Un juego muy recomendable para pasar un gran rato con tu teléfono Android.

En el aspecto técnico

Tal como he dicho, en el aspecto visual gana mucho y en lo que es el diseño del personaje también. Un divertido y curioso protagonista dibujado a mano al igual que todos los entornos con un toque a acuarela que le otorga de distintas sensaciones. No es fácil encontrar este tipo de juegos, aunque cada vez tenemos la gran suerte de pasar ante maravillas como es este Blown Away: First Try en el aspecto visual.

Por lo demás cumple perfectamente con unos niveles bien diseñados y unas cuantas horas para disfrutar de este videojuego toque indy que no te defraudará. Pruébalo al menos en esos 30 niveles, después la decisión será tuya.

BlackBerry Priv battery life

We had the BlackBery Priv for review recently, but we didn’t manage to conduct a proper battery test. Well, we got another chance to play with the slider and there was no escaping this time.

The BlackBerry Priv is equipped with a fairly large 3,410mAh battery. In keeping with current trends, it is sealed in, but the Snapdragon 808, powering the phone, supports Quick Charge 2.0, which can get you from zero to 60% in about 30 minutes. Sadly, the bundled charger doesn’t support quick charging so you would have to get an extra one.

The Priv also has wireless charging capabilities, both Qi and PMA compliant. Sadly, only the US model supports that.

The BlackBerry Priv posted what can best be described as satisfactory battery life results. On a 3G call the smartphone lasted only around 15 hours, which is on the short side. A Samsung Galaxy Note5 can go for twice as long, while a Sony Xperia Z5 Premium and a Huawei Nexus 6P hover around the 20 and a half hour mark. Then again an LG V10 and the Apple iPhone 6s Plus aren’t much better at 16:40 and 15:51, respectively.

The Priv’s endurance when browsing the web over Wi-Fi stood at 8:20 hours in our test. Again nothing impressive, but not entirely disappointing. It’s the exact same number the V10 posted, marginally lower than the Nexus 6P, and an hour less than the Xperia Z5 Premium. The iPhone 6s rules here with a little short of 12 hours, outlasting the Note5 by an hour.

Top ten fan favorites phones of 2015

Popularity is one thing, but fan love is arguably even more important. It’s now time to look back at the phones that most of declared as favorites in 2015.

While our top 10 trending chart often sees mid-rangers occupy the top spots due to their sheer sales volume, this is a strictly high-end affair. That’s understandable given that it’s flagships that are designed to speak to a geeks’ hearts, even if that means they aren’t as kind to their wallets.

Without further ado – the most loved phone of the year was the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium – the first smartphone to pack a 4K display really bathes in the fan love and if Sony managed to convert that to sales things will really pick up for the company.

Somewhat surprisingly the Galaxy Note 4 went second, handily beating its Note5 successor, which placed 4th. We guess that’s as clear response to the omission of expandable storage and replaceable battery as Samsung can get.

Between the two Samsung phablets we see the OnePlus 2 – the self-proclaimed flagship killer has earned itself plenty of fans despite the limited marketing spending of its maker. In sixth we see the second Sony in the chart – the Xperia Z5, which while more popular than the Z5 Premium can’t quite match its fan conversion rate.

The LG G4 and Galaxy S6 flagships occupy the following two positions, while the Sony Xperia Z3 makes a surprising appearance in 8th. The final two spots in the chart are taken by the Huawei Nexus 6P (which had the least time to gather fans of all phones in the chart) and the Apple iPhone 6s.

The trio that fell just below the line was Motorola Moto X Style, Microsoft Lumia 950 XL and Asus Zenfone 2 – all missing the cut by just a few likes.
