Plants War 2 propone una gran mezcla entre un MOBA y un RTS

Plants War fue una de las primeras aproximaciones en Android a lo que es la base de un MOBA pero sin ese componente multijugador tan importante en un videojuego de este tipo. Controlábamos una serie de héroes en la forma de plantas que tenían que vérselas con decenas de enemigos en ese planteamiento bien básico que es ir ganando bases para finalmente irrumpir en la final y así hacernos con la victoria. Una de sus mayores características era el desbloqueo de nuevos héroes con mejores estadísticas que nos permitían llegar a niveles más altos. Plants War fue un gran juego que todavía está disponible y que ahora llega su secuela para ofrecer mayor diversión y nuevas características.

Realmente Plants War 2 es un juego de rol donde nos ayudaremos de las hojas y las plantas en nuestro intento por salvar al Bosque de Dryad. Algunos animales han infestado este bosque y área por lo que tendremos que salir al paso y liderar a la armada de plantas. Con esta sencilla premisa Plants War 2 nos propone algunos aspectos muy interesantes que nos pondrán ante una gran acción y arcade de esos que nos gusta jugar por muchos días y que luego se queda en la memoria interna del teléfono para volver a jugarlo en algunos momentos. Aparte de tener elementos de un juego de rol, también os llevará ante un RTS y un MOBA, por lo que tiene varias cualidades para ser uno de esos buenos videojuegos para los próximos meses.

Mezcla de RTS y MOBA

Estrategia en tiempo real donde tendremos que sabe colocar a nuestro héroe para así ir adentrándose por el mapa elegido para el nivel en el que estemos jugando. Al ser un RTS, y al igual que otros importantes de la escena del gaming, saber atacar o defender en el momento adecuado será la llave para la victoria. Y como siempre, con el objetivo en mente de destruir la base del enemigo para que así podamos ir pasando por la gran cantidad de niveles que tiene Plants War 2.

Donde pone esta vez la tilde Plants War 2 es en el aspecto multijugador, ya que aparte de poder disfrutar de partidas online en los más de 60 niveles en los que se incluyen misiones de un jugador y multijugador, hay un gran aspecto en el PvP. Este es el modo liga donde tendremos que competir contra otros jugadores y participar en esas guerras PvP. Esto le distancia, y mucho, del primer Plants Wars donde se echó en falta ese aspecto multijugador para enfrentarnos con otros jugadores.

3 clases te esperan

Esta mezcla entre MOBA y RTS permite al jugador elegir entre tres clases como son el guerrero, mago o arquero. Son cinco los modos de juego para llevarnos ante esas misiones de un jugador u online. Y es en el modo dungeon donde encontraréis los más de 60 niveles.

Entre los modos distintos del aspecto multijugador destaca “Time Attack”, en el que deberemos de recoger más loot e intentar destruir las distintas bases con nuestros amigos. En el modo 3 v 3, deberemos de conquistar los enemigos en el modo héroes vs héroes. Es este último donde nos puede recordar más a lo que es un MOBA de verdad, por lo que entra a competir directamente contra otros como son Call of Champions o Ace of Arenas.

Tampoco se puede olvidar las actualizaciones de armas y demás elenco de características típicas de un juego RPG, por lo que la mezcla de géneros se ofrece en un buen coctel para disfrutar de un gran videojuego.

Aspecto técnico

Plants War 2

Buenos efectos gráficos, unos personajes muy bien diseñados y todos los elementos necesarios para convertirlo en un gran videojuego con esa mezcla de géneros. Aumenta la calidad del primero por lo que podría decirse que es uno de esos títulos imprescindibles para acceder a estrategia en tiempo real, multijugador con PvP y modo campaña para un jugador.

Plants War 2 está disponible desde la Play Store de forma gratuita con ese modelo freemium en el que avanzar a través de los micropagos.

Weekly poll results – BlackBerry Priv gets the nod from the fans

Business seems to be going well for BlackBerry over the last quarter (well, by the company’s recent standards) and it’s in no small part thanks to the Priv. A smartphone with its share of flaws as we established while doing our in-depth review, the BlackBerry Priv nonetheless manages to entice users, and our weekly poll results are in to attest that.

At 77% in favor, the general public opinion is pretty clear – the Priv has a lot to offer to offset whatever disadvantages it may have. Or at least a little something for anyone, be it the hardware keyboard, the BlackBerry-enhanced Android build, or the nifty sliding mechanism, which is a breath of fresh air in today’s realm of plain tile-like touchscreen phones.

But the non-believers were likely put off by the price tag, which is high, even as flagships go. Not strictly befitting a top-tier device, the BlackBerry Priv’s build is another area, where haters (or simply objective observers) can find grounds for complaint.

We can ponder all we want, but numbers are numbers, and 3 out of 4 people gave the BlackBerry Priv the thumbs-up. And even if our poll results don’t necessarily translate into unit sales, there may very well be a future to BlackBerry’s hardware division after…

Top 10 trending phones of week 51

In a curious turn of events this week, the iPhone 5s has entered our Top 10 trending chart. Two generations old, Apple’s aging 4-incher hasn’t enjoyed such interest in all of this year, which is as long as we’ve been keeping tabs.

Now, it’s all the way down in 8th, with less than half of the daily hits of the winner, but that’s still comfortably ahead of the current iPhone 6s, which is in 10th.

The newly announced YU Yutopia has managed to make room for itself in between the iPhones. The Indian flagship looks mighty fine on paper and with a price of about $375 it’s a tough offer to top.

Climbing up the chart, we see the Samsung Galaxy Note5 in 7th for a third week in a row with the Galaxy Grand Prime a spot ahead – the phone has been a near permanent fixture in the chart since its inception. The Galaxy J2 has lost its podium position and has dropped two spots into 5th, while the Galaxy S6 has placed 4th this week.

The Galaxy J-series occupation of the podium from last week has been disturbed, but the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 was only good for third place. The Galaxy J7 rules yet again, and its customary runner-up J5 is where you’ve come to expect it to be.
