Cada vez están más cerca las fiestas navideñas, y es por eso mismo que hoy he decidido crear este post en el que les voy a enseñar la manera de crear tu propia vídeo Christmas para felicitar de una manera diferente y, muy pero que muy original estas señaladas fiestas.

La aplicación que hoy os voy a recomendar va a crear un divertido vídeo Christmas totalmente gratuito y en el cual, vamos a poder añadir las caras de las personas que deseemos, las cuales se acoplarán en  el propio vídeo sustituyendo las caras de hasta cinco duendes bailarines que van a felicitar las fiestas navideñas  con una canción y un baile espectacular en el que los protagonistas los elegimos nosotros mediante la toma de fotografías con la cámara de nuestro Android o seleccionando cualquier fotografía de la galería de nuestro dispositivo.

La aplicación se puede descargar directamente desde el Play Store de Google bajo el nombre de ElfYourself by Office Depot, la tienda oficial de aplicaciones para Android, de manera gratuita aunque con la siempre peligrosa opción de compras integradas in app; Digo lo de peligrosa opción de compras in app para que estéis atentos, sobre todo si solemos dejar el terminal a nuestros hijos, el cual deberá tener la aplicación Play Store convenientemente configurada de manera segura mediante la protección por contraseña para confirmar o autorizar cualquier pago in app.

Hangouts rumored to lose SMS/MMS functionality

Google Hangouts has long been used as both a way to use the Hangouts chat functionality and text others. The app even combined the two into one chat log and let you decide which to use at different times. Though this functionality is nice, the app itself has been problematic for many.

A new rumor claims that Google will be stripping Hangouts of SMS and MMS functionality. Thankfully, the rumor also states that Project Fi and Google Voice functionality will remain alongside the standard Hangouts chat. And this makes sense, as the Google Messenger SMS app has become polished and user-friendly.

Once the change comes, if it comes at all, users will be asked to download the Google Messenger app, though you’ll be able to use any third-party SMS app you want. Sprint to offer free 32″ Samsung TV with purchase of qualifying Samsung smartphone

If you’re a Sprint customer looking to get a new phone, it’ll soon be a good time to do so. Sprint will soon offer a 32-inch Samsung TV with the purchase of a qualifying Samsung smartphone. Both new customers and existing customers that are upgrading or adding a new line will be eligible.

The list of smartphones that will net you a TV includes the Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, and Galaxy Note 5. These phones can be leased, purchased using Sprint Easy Pay or a 2-year agreement, or bought outright.

If you’re interested, the deal is going on between December 18 and 24, while supplies last. A free TV really doesn’t sound like a bad deal to me!

California Says The Steering Wheel Must Stay (For Now)

Today California released a draft of its autonomous vehicle driving regulations, solidifying the need for both the steering wheel and a licensed driver when these rules go into affect. With a driver behind the wheel, the state also makes it clear that the operator  will be responsible for traffic violations made by the self-driving car.

Report says Android will drop SMS integration in future Hangouts update

According to a report, Google employees are currently testing a build of Hangouts that will strip SMS integration. Away goes any hope for Hangouts to become something like iMessage for Android users.

SMS integration became standard in 2013 with the launch of the Nexus 5, it came by default and confused and irritated many users. One year later, the Nexus 6 came with Google’s own Messenger app for SMS, totally separate from Hangouts. Enthusiasts were confused as to why Google decided to make its own SMS app.

Perhaps with Google Voice now baked into Hangouts, Google thought it’d be too confusing to have two SMS accounts on top of Hangouts messages all in the same app.

This isn’t all bad news though, it could mean Google intends to make a better experience overall with some new features like quick reply, or conversation shortcuts to most frequently contacted people.

No, el Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 no será exclusivo del Samsung Galaxy S7

En 2016, que está a punto de empezar, se espera mucho de las compañías tradicionales, pero también mucho de las compañías chinas, que han ganado terreno a “las grandes” de forma abismal en los últimos años. Una de ellas es Xiaomi, de cuyo próximo terminal estrella, el Xiaomi Mi 5, hablábamos hace unas horas. Un terminal que vendrá equipado con lo último en tecnología, y eso incluye a uno de los mejores chipsets que veremos en 2016, el Snapdragon 820 de Qualcomm.

Además de por los rumores, esto ya ha sido confirmado oficialmente por el CEO de Xiaomi, Lei Jun, quien incluso ha asegurado que ya están en pruebas con el Snapdragon 820 en su Xiaomi Mi 5, y que los resultados de rendimiento están siendo muy positivos. Así, las palabras del CEO de Xiaomi desmienten la información que recogen medios como El Androide Libre, que nos cuentan que el nuevo procesador de Qualcomm sería exclusivo del próximo tope de gama de Samsung, el Galaxy S7.

Qualcomm no se casa con nadie

CEO XiaomiLo cierto es que no era necesario que Lei Jun nos confirmara que usarán el Snapdragon 820 en su Xiaomi Mi 5, y es que pensándolo bien, no sería una jugada demasiado acertada, al margen del acuerdo multimillonario al que pudiesen llegar entre las dos compañías.

Qualcomm dejaría de lado a marcas tan importantes en el sector como Sony, LG, HTC o Microsoft, que aunque no se acercan en ventas a Samsung, entre ellas suman unos buenos beneficios para las arcas de la compañía californiana. Eso, sin contar con las muchas otras fabricantes con las que trabaja Qualcomm, que se cuentan por decenas.

Sea como sea, ya queda muy poco para que suenen las campanadas den paso a 2016, y con el nuevo año, comenzarán a llegar los nuevos dispositivos. El Xiaomi Mi 5 promete ser uno de los mejores de todo el año, y eso solo será si usa uno de los mejores procesadores del año, por no decir el mejor, como será el Qualcomm Snapragon 820.

New Huawei Watch version aimed at women coming at CES, rumor says

The Huawei Watch has been available for a few months now, and according to a new rumor work is already underway on a new version of it. Apparently we should expect to see an announcement at CES in January of a new variation of the existing Huawei Watch. This new model will be aimed at women.

It will allegedly come with a “rounder” and more elegant case, which will match its new “feminine-looking” bands. These features could be paired with some new watch faces, also focused on women of course. And if the women-centric smaller version of the new Moto 360 is anything to go by, then at least one model will be gold-painted.

As for a proper successor to the original Huawei Watch, that one is reportedly already in development, but it will only launch in the second half of next year. The new wearable might sport cellular data connectivity, according to one unnamed source. That’s very far from being a given however, since it’s still quite early in its development…
