Given that the LG G Flex and G Flex 2 were unveiled at the last two CES events, it would have been reasonable to expect a G Flex 3 announcement at CES 2016. However, if a latest report from South Korea is to be believed, that’s not happening.
In fact, the report says that the company might even skip the G Flex 3 smartphone altogether, although there’s no word on why LG would that. This is also contrary to some previous rumors that suggested the device would be unveiled in March next year, and even revealed some of its key specs: SD820 chipset, 6-inch QHD touchscreen, and metal construction.
Among other prominent devices from LG’s 2016 line-up, the report notes that the G5 will be made official in April 2016, and we will also see a successor to the LG V10, which will be launched in H2…

OnePlus, una de las compañías más jóvenes en el panorama tecnológico, estaría a punto de traernos un nuevo terminal de tamaño reducido pero con especificaciones de infarto. Se trata de una estrategia algo extraña que puede cansar a más de un usuario, debido a la reciente presentación del OnePlus X.
El sitio web de origen holandés Techtastic informa que el dispositivo fue descubierto en GFXBench, una aplicación que realiza benchmarks en teléfonos para comprobar su rendimiento general. Parece que el supuesto OnePlus 2 Mini apareció en la base de datos de la página a pesar de que no ha habido ningún anuncio oficial de la firma asiática.
Especificaciones
Si las imágenes filtradas del sitio de benchmarking GFXBench están en lo cierto, estaríamos ante un terminal de 4,6 pulgadas de pantalla con una resolución Full HD, lo que nos daría una elevada densidad de píxeles por pulgada. Un teléfono de este tamaño competiría directamente con el iPhone 6S.
Además, según las recién filtradas especificaciones del supuesto OnePlus 2 Mini, estaríamos ante un tope de gama en toda regla. En primer lugar, parece que esta versión compartiría procesador con su hermano mayor, el afamado Snapdragon 810 de ocho núcleos a 1,7 GHz. Acompañando al procesador, tendríamos la respetable cantidad de 4 GB de RAM.
Supuestamente, el smartphone vendrá con 64 GB de memoria interna, una cámara trasera de 12 megapíxeles con auto enfoque por láser y estabilización óptica de imagen. En la parte delantera del terminal nos encontraríamos con una más que satisfactoria cámara de 5 megapíxeles para los amantes de las selfies.
El NFC brilla por su ausencia
Por lo que hemos podido ver, como en su hermano mayor el OnePlus 2, este futuro dispositivo tampoco traerá NFC. Esta tecnología ha traído a la firma más de una crítica, puesto que fue incluida en el OnePlus One pero desapareció en su sucesor, algo que todavía seguimos sin entender.
En estos momentos todavía no está claro para cuando OnePlus anunciará el terminal de manera oficial. Con eso dicho, parece altamente improbable que sea anunciado antes del final de navidades. Tampoco existen detalles acerca de la política de precios que usará la start-up china.
En resumen, parece una maniobra verdaderamente extraña esta táctica de OnePlus, ya que la firma ya tiene un smartphone de menor tamaño con el nombre de OnePlus X, el cual fue lanzado hace menos de un mes. Habrá que esperar para ver que es lo que finalmente hace OnePlus.
