A estas alturas es difícil descubrir a alguna persona al azar que no conozca la plataforma de reproducción de vídeo en línea más importante a nivel global, como es YouTube. Ésta cada vez crece más rápido y prácticamente sin darnos cuenta, aunque un indicio que demuestra su potencial es la capacidad de lanzar servicios alternativos aunque ligados al uso como es YouTube Red y YouTube Gaming, ambas muy distintas pero manteniendo el mismo objetivo.
Por otro lado, a menudo el servicio principal es el que menos cambios sufre, pero en el día de hoy los propios han confirmado la nueva sección que ya estábamos viendo en la versión web para escritorio, como son los vídeos del momento. Sí, desde este mismo instante esta nueva sección ha llegado también a la aplicación para Android y ya podemos comenzar a consumir el nuevo contenido.
De entrada la nueva sección está dividida en tres apartados; música, juegos y noticias. Todas ellas con su correspondiente icono y en forma de etiqueta, en la que pulsando accederemos al contenido propio. No obstante, si preferimos la opción por defecto mostrará una mezcla de todas ellas en un breve resumen.
Esto variará según la región en la que somos residentes. En nuestro caso, en España, muestra actualmente y en el día de hoy vídeos de algunos de los principales youtubers, vídeos que se encuentran en tendencia y algún que otro vídeo musical, principalmente la primera opción cabe decir.
Debes saber que en este caso no podemos facilitar ningún archivo apk ni similar, ya que parece que está llegando de forma paulatina a los distintos terminales que se encuentran activos en la actualidad y con la última versión de la aplicación YouTube. En mi caso lo tengo activado sin realizar ninguna acción, así que puedes consultar si tú también encuentras la nueva sección en la parte superior, con el icono de un fuego como podéis observar en la imagen superior.

Alongside the second generation Chromecast dongle for your TV, Google also unveiled the Chromecast Audio this September. Whereas the ‘normal’ Chromecast is simply put a way to smarten up your TV, the Audio does the same for speakers. It can connect to your existing speakers that don’t have any type of network connection either via a 3.5mm analog stereo cable, or via RCA connectors or an optical cable.
You then give it access to your Wi-Fi network, and from that point on you ‘cast’ music to it through apps on your mobile devices, just like you do with the Chromecast for TV.
Starting today, the Chromecast Audio is set to receive an automatic software update, and this is pretty important because it will enable two neat features. First off, you get high-resolution audio support, which means up to 96KHz/24bit lossless playback is now possible through the dongle.
Multi-room support is in too, which lets you listen to the same synchronized music in all of the places you have a Chromecast Audio connected, all at the same time. So if you have one hooked up to your speakers in the living room, and another in the bedroom, and another one in the kitchen – you’ll hear the exact same music wherever you go.
