Pebble’s Timeline interface is coming to the Classic and Steel watches, beta sign-ups now open

When the Pebble Time smartwatch came around, it brought with it an entirely new user interface, known as Timeline. This is part of Pebble Firmware 3.0, and it’s now finally on its way to older smartwatches made by the company.

The Pebble Classic and Pebble Steel will both be graced with the new UI by the end of the month. If you want to get a chance to beta test the new release, you can do so if you follow the instructions at the Source link below. Do note that the beta is English-only (yet the finalized software will support French, German, and Spanish too).

Also, you’ll need an Android smartphone for this, as “restrictions within the iTunes App Store” are preventing Pebble from extending invitations to iOS device users as well. Don’t fret, though, as the final Pebble Firmware 3.8 build will be accessible by those with iPhones when it comes out before the end of the…

Flyme 5 is officially headed to the Meizu MX4 Pro, MX4, and m1 note, beta out tomorrow

Flyme OS is what Meizu calls its own skin placed on top of Android. And Flyme 5 is its latest iteration, which has so far only made it to the Meizu Pro 5 and the MX5. Yet if you own one of the company’s other handsets, here’s some good news.

A beta build of Flyme 5 will become available tomorrow for the MX4, MX4 Pro, as well as the m1 note. You won’t get the beta through an over-the-air software update though, you have to download it from Meizu and manually install.

The final build of Flyme 5 for these three devices will go out as an OTA update sometime before the Chinese New Year, which in 2016 is on February 8. Unfortunately there’s still no word from Meizu on whether Flyme 5 will make it to other handsets, or when. And don’t forget to keep in mind the fact that the Flyme update does not bring with it a new version of Android – it’s just the skin that’s changing.

Songwriting Is Changing, And Technology Is Finally Catching Up

In an interview with The Telegraph in 2013, Bernie Taupin, songwriting partner to Elton John, spoke about how they often faxed or emailed lyrics and musical ideas back and forth. Taupin struggled to incorporate more recent technological innovations into John’s songwriting process, declaring that “it took a long time to drag this guy kicking and screaming into the 21st century.”

Ulefone Paris X
Dimensiones 144,5 x 71,7 x 8 mm
Peso 128 gramos
Pantalla 5 pulgadas, IPS LCD con Corning Gorilla Glass 3
Densidad de píxeles 1280 x 720, HD
Procesador MTK6735, Cortex A53 quad-core a 1 GHz
RAM 2 GB
Sistema operativo Android 5.1 Lollipop

LG hops onto the Apple Smart Battery Case bashing bandwagon

Quick! Let’s turn every remotely controversial new tech-related thing into a “-gate” hashtag! Remember the Apple Smart Battery Case for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s? You do? Good. #HumpGate. The Internet wins again.

And while people are busy bashing Apple’s hideous and probably overpriced accessory, what are the company’s competitors to do? Just sit idly by? Of course not. The first to join the “fight” was Asus, mere hours ago. And now a new courageous jab comes from LG.

The Korean company wants you to buy its V10 smartphone instead of the new Apple battery case. Or something along those lines. See, the V10 will only give you goosebumps, and no actual bumps. Why are we comparing phones to battery cases? Who knows. Oh, and LG wants you to hold “a moment of silence for those experiencing a bumpy ride”. Get it?

Whatever you do, don’t wonder what a moment of silence (which is generally observed after a tragedy) may possibly have to do with a battery case. Just don’t. Buy the LG V10 instead. Right?

Thanks for the tip,…
