HTC ‘Perfume’ rumored to be next flagship with Android 6.1 and Sense 8

Despite the fact that the One A9 is still relatively new, some people are already keeping their eyes to the future, anticipating the next true flagship device from the manufacturer. According to a new rumor, HTC’s next device may not be the O2 as previously suggested.

A well-known leaker of HTC details, LlabTooFeR, has tweeted out that the device known as the O2 is “dead” and that HTC is focusing on something else entirely now. It’s reportedly codenamed “Perfume,” and only a couple of details have found their way to the surface as of now. According to the rumor, HTC’s Perfume will feature Android 6.1 right out of the gate and will have Sense 8 running atop it.

The Perfume codename will clearly be dropped by the time the device gets to being officially announced, so don’t expect that to be the title you’d have to tell your friends. As far as any other details go, that’s still up in the air at this point. It’s likely that HTC will continue to use metal frames for its devices, including on the Perfume.

El LG G5 podría presentarse a primeros de febrero y contar con escáner retinal

LG ha presentado dos nuevos flagships durante este año, el LG G4 y el LG V10. El primero es la cuarta generación de flagships Android de la firma coreana, y es un dispositivo muy potente: pantalla de 5,5 pulgadas QHD, 3GB de RAM y un Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 como procesador. Su cámara de 16 megapíxeles con estabilizador óptico de imagen es bastante buena, y la ligera curva que tiene le ayuda a tener un toque distintivo.

En cuanto al LG V10, estamos hablando de un terminal que se considera en una gama ligeramente más alta que el LG G4 y, además, incorpora un marco metálico, lo que es un detalle muy interesante que convierte a este dispositivo en algo premium. Esta sensación también se consigue a través de la tapa trasera fabricada en DuraSkin.

Por ahora lo que todo el mundo se pregunta es cómo será el próximo LG G5 una vez que la empresa se decida a presentarlo, y puede que no tengamos que esperar mucho para saberlo. No hemos oído muchos rumores ni hemos visto filtraciones hasta ahora, pero ha ahbido uno surgido recientemente: el LG G5 podría ser presentado a principios de febrero y el terminal estará disponible internacionalmente una vez se presente.

LG V10 frontal trasera

Esto es algo muy interesante, y nos muestra a una LG que presenta su mejor arma dispuestos a competir cara a cara con Samsung, que según los rumores presentará el Samsung Galaxy S7 a finales de enero. Una de las muchas especulaciones surgidas en medios internacionales como Android Headlines es que intentarán que su dispositivo esté antes en el mercado que el próximo flagship de Samsung, que debería llegar en el mes de marzo.

Según se recoge, las informaciones existentes también hablan de que el LG G5 tendrá escáner retinal, algo que ya te adelantamos en este mismo blog, así como un lector de huellas. Suponemos que el lector de huellas irá en la parte trasera, ubicado en el botón de encendido, que hará doble función. De momento no existen muchos más detalles con respecto al escáner retinal.

En lo que se refiere a las especificaciones del LG G5, se espera que tenga una pantalla de 5,5 pulgadas con resolución QHD, 4 GB de memoria RAM, procesador Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 de 64 bits, cámara trasera de 21 megapíxeles, cámara delantera de 8 megapíxeles y marco metálico. De momento esto es todo lo que se sabe, en cuanto haya más información os la contaremos.

Cortana now available on Android and iOS

Microsoft made its iconic personal assistant available on Android and iOS. The apps were released earlier today on both the Play Store and App Store and are available for free.

Cortana was exclusive on Windows OS until recently, but Microsoft is aiming to expand its reach over other platforms and has done a lot in the past few months. The company aggressively pushed its OneDrive and Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) – they are all available for free, no additional fees apply. Microsoft even managed to replace Dropbox in Samsung’s latest flagship phones.

So, the next logical step was to release Cortana into other platforms and here it is. Currently it is available in USA and China, but Microsoft will be expanding the availability soon enough.

Cortana is a separate app and is a nice mixture between Siri and Google Now – it feels more personal at times and tracks your schedule and interest, provides updates and quickly answers relevant questions. You may want to give it a try.
