Marshmallow update for Moto X Pure Edition (2015) variants on Verizon, Sprint, and USC is now rolling out

When Motorola started the Android 6.0 soak test on the Moto X Pure Edition (2015) in the US last week, it said that if everything goes fine, a full launch could happen in a week. Looks like the test went smooth as the official update has started rolling out.

As always, the news was announced by Motorola’s senior director of software product management David Schuster on Google+, noting that the update is currently rolling out to Moto X Pure Edition devices on Verizon, Sprint, and US Cellular.

Yahoo reportedly rules out Alibaba spinoff

Looks like the Yahoo board is more interested in selling the company’s core business. According to a report from CNBC, the board has ruled out the other option – spinning off the company’s investment in Alibaba, which is currently worth over $30 billion.

Although the report said that Yahoo’s assessment of its Internet business as well as the company’s stake in Yahoo Japan could take “a year or more,” it noted that an official announcement on the matter could be made as soon as Wednesday.
