Walmart’s ‘Cyber Monday’ 2015 Promotion Includes 2,000 Deals

Today is “Cyber Monday,” the Monday after Thanksgiving where brands encourage consumers to shop online for deals. Walmart actually started its “Cyber Monday” deals at 8PM ET on Sunday, November 29th, which is much earlier than expected. For “Cyber Monday,” the retail giant slashed prices on over 2,000 products. Walmart is offering free shipping on orders that are more than $50 while offering in-store pickup for free. Some of Walmart’s best “Cyber Monday” deals include:

You can see all of Walmart’s “Cyber Monday” deals on Walmart.com. Walmart said that its Cyber Week specials will continue through Friday, December 4 “with 2,000 online specials offered each day.”
“It can be exhausting for working parents and millenials to stay up past midnight to shop online, only to wake up early the next day to get ready for work,” said Walmart.com’s president and CEO Fernando Madeira in a statement. “By starting ‘Cyber Monday’ hours earlier on Sunday evening and quadrupling the number of Cyber Monday specials, we’re making it easier for customers to get ahead of the busiest online shopping day of the year and save on the best gifts.”

Una de las preocupaciones que más tenemos los usuarios de Smartphones y dispositivos inteligentes, es sin duda alguna la de llegar al final del día sin que la batería de nuestro Android se agote, una misión que la mayoría de las veces debido a las especificaciones técnicas de la mayoría de dispositivos Android con pantallas de, cada vez mayor tamaño y resolución, se convierte en una auténtica misión imposible.

En el siguiente post, sacado de un estudio de AVG, os queremos contar cuales son las 10 aplicaciones y servicios que más drenan la batería de nuestro Android. Unas aplicaciones y servicios como los de Samsung Beaming Service o Security Policy Updates que, sin que ni tan si quiera nos demos cuenta actuando en segundo plano son de los servicios que más chupan y tiran de batería de nuestro terminal Android.

En primer y segundo lugar se encuentran estos dos servicios integrados en terminales de la popular marca Coreana Samsung, Samsung Beaming Service y Security Policy Updates los cuales, sin tener ni idea el propio usuario del terminal, agotan la batería de nuestro Android con un drenaje constante de la misma, unas aplicaciones que además del drenaje constante de la batería, además también suelen conllevar el consumo de datos móviles de nuestra tarifa de datos contratada, aunque esto último es un gasto que es muy escaso.

En tercer lugar se encuentra situada la aplicación de Facebook que, como era de suponer es la aplicación para Android que se ejecuta en segundo plano y que más drena la batería y mayor consumo de datos suele producir.

En cuarto lugar se encuentra una aplicación GPS para Android, o más bien GPS Social para Android que seguramente muchos de nosotros tengamos instalado en nuestro terminal Android. La aplicación no es otra que Waze, desde hace un tiempo propiedad de Google y la cual tiene el escaso honor de situarse como la cuarta aplicación que más gasta o drena la batería de nuestro terminal Android.

Para acabar con esta lista de las 10 aplicaciones y servicios que mas drenan la batería de nuestro Android, siempre según AVG, tenemos a la aplicación de mensajería instantánea para Android que más usuarios usan en el mundo entero. La aplicación no es otra que el “todopoderoso” WhatsApp propiedad de Mark Zuckerberg que tiene el dudoso honor de ocupar la décima posición de las aplicaciones que supuestamente y siempre según los estudios de AVG, drenan la batería de nuestros terminales Android de una manera constante tal y como el goteo persistente de un grifo mal cerrado lo hace con la factura del suministro de agua de nuestro hogar.

Nokia C1 leaks again with alleged specs and a new render

Nokia has been absent from the smartphone scene for quite some time now – a fact that many fans know all too well. But, as CEO Rajeev Suri has confirmed, it is not a withdrawal, but rather a timeout that should end in Q4 2016 when the agreement with Microsoft expires.

Rumors of a Nokia C1 have been circulating along with claims that it will, in fact, be the first smartphone to bear the Finnish company logo in years. Today brings a fresh batch of info on the alleged handset, namely a render and possible specs sheets.

The new image seems to be made from the same source that we saw a few days ago, so unfortunately it doesn’t add much extra credibility. The same tipster also claims to have some insights on the specs of the device. He notes that the C1 might come in two size variants, which, oddly enough, also have a different camera setup.

The display is said to be 5.0 or 5.5 inches with FullHD resolution. The first version gets 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while the other gets 3GB with 64GB of storage. The camera setup will vary between 8MP back plus 5MP front or 13MP back with the same front shooter. It is also interesting to note that the C1 is said to run on Android, with a Windows 10 variant available in select markets.

The anonymous source also goes on to explain that the handset has been long in the making, so much so that the original prototype was apparently canceled and replaced with one with better hardware. That could also potentially explain the two distinct sets of specs. In any case, there is still a lot of time to wait until the C1 even has a chance to hit user markets in Q4…
