The bigger our phones get, the more power hungry they are. And the bigger batteries we have, the longer they take to charge. Thus the invention of quick charging was brought upon us, to charge our devices rapidly so we can get back to Snapchatting our lives away.
Though you may not be actively using your phone in your car (nor should you!), streaming music over Bluetooth and using Google Maps can be a real drain on your battery. Regular USB chargers don’t cut it anymore, so Quick Charge in the car is a big deal.

The charger is really simple, with basic lines and a piano black finish. Though it’s bigger than other slimmer chargers, it looks pretty good and is well made. Instead of the cheap springs on the sides, it uses more solid metal contacts.
The face simply has three USB ports with cables. The Quick Charge 2.0 port is bright green, while the others are black. There’s also an LED there.
The USB cable is very basic, but it is slim and will fit almost any case. Seeing thick ends on cables is an endless frustration.
For the review, I used a Moto X Pure Edition. It supports both Quick Charge 2.0 and the Motorola Turbo chargers. It also has pretty mediocre battery life, so I find myself charging my phone on any long trip. I stream music using Play Music over Bluetooth and use Google Maps, which isn’t easy on any device.
The Quick Charge 2.0 port charged the device very quickly indeed. With that heavy load on the Moto X, I still got almost 1% per minute of charging. It varied from 8% to 10% per 10 minutes, which is quite impressive.
Of course, the other two ports are just regular old USB ports. They’re great for extra devices and passengers who tag along with their own cable. It’s always nice having more than one USB port.
Interstingly enough, the Moto X recognized this charger as a Turbo charger according to the popup when I plugged it in.
Honestly, I have nothing negative to say about this charger. It does what it’s supposed to do, looks decent, and comes with a USB cable. I can’t find a fault in that. It’s a little big, but for three fairly powerful USB ports, I can’t complain.
If you’ve been looking for a Quick Charge 2.0 enabled car charger, check out this one for the extra ports. You can find something cheaper with a single port, but it’s always nice to have extras for the people you’re lugging around.

The latest version of Google Fit, which started rolling out yesterday to Android devices that have it installed, brings with it some interesting new features. These have been detailed by Google today.
First off, real-time stats are now supported, which means you can instantly see how you’re doing in your runs, walks, and rides. Google Fit records information about your speed, route, pace, and elevation. All of these things are available at a glance while you’re training.
If you have an Android Wear watch, you now also get support for strength training in Google Fit. Your smartwatch will automatically detect and count all of your sit-ups, push-ups, and squats. These will be added to your daily activity, all you need to do is start a daily challenge first.
Finally, Google Fit is now integrated with more apps and fitness trackers than ever. It can monitor your diet through MyFitnessPal, Fatsecret, Lifesum, or LoseIt. And sleep tracking can happen with Sleep as Android, the Xiaomi Mi Band and Mi Band 1S, Sony Smartband 2, or the Basis Peak. These new integrations are going to be rolled out “in the coming days”.

After having been released in other parts of the world already, the OnePlus X is finally available to order in the US and Canada starting today. There’s one huge caveat, though (and you might have seen this coming): you need an invite in order to purchase the phone.
OnePlus isn’t giving up on its much-hated invite system, so this launch in North America will only be of interest to you if you’ve managed to secure an invite. Otherwise, you simply can’t officially buy the device.
Now if you don’t yet have an invite, you can put yourself onto OnePlus’ reservation list and you’ll be sent one at some point in the future, once it’s your turn.

Si estás en la tesitura de que te has cargado el Play Store, la tienda de aplicaciones de Google y no sabes como volverla a instalar ya que descargando simplemente el apk para Android no te soluciona el problema ya que se fuerza el cierre de la aplicación y ya no sabes que hacer, no te preocupes ya que está en el post indicado para solucionar tu problema.
Esta misma solución es válida para aquellos terminales, normalmente de origen chino que no cuentan con la instalación de la tienda oficial de aplicaciones para Android el Play Store de Google. Así que ¿a que esperas para clicar en “Seguir leyendo este post” y solucionar tu problema de na vez por todas?.
Eliminar el Play Store de tu terminal Android no suele ser tarea fácil ya que suele ser una aplicación integrada en el propio sistema operativo, aunque me he encontrado a veces, que en ciertos terminales esto no es así y la podemos desinstalar como cualquier otra aplicación descargada o instalada de manera manual. Esto lo he podido ver, sobre todo en terminales de origen chino como en la popular marca Xiaomi.
Otra manera de desinstalar el Play Store es normalmente causada por el desconocimiento de la gente o accidente siempre y cuando tengamos un terminal Android previamente Rooteado.
Para instalar el Play Store de nuevo en nuestros terminales Android y que este funcione como es debido, no nos va a servir con la simple instalación del APK del propio Play Store de Google si no que vamos a necesitar descargar también los servicios de Google o marcos de servicios de Google.
Instalando el apk del Play Store y el apk de los servicios de Google tiene que ser suficiente para recuperar la tienda de aplicaciones de Google en tu terminal Android o, si el el caso de tener un terminal que no contara con la instalación de la tienda esencial para terminales Android, instalarla por primera vez y que esta funcione como es debido.
Eso si, acordaros de habilitar desde los ajustes de vuestro Android en la opción Seguridad la casilla que nos va a permitir poder instalar aplicaciones de orígenes desconocidos.
