The foil to the Final Fantasy games, the Dragon Quest series is arguably one of the most popular role-playing games in Japan. Sadly, the series has never quite broken into the Western market in the same way but Nintendo recently announced that both Dragon Quest VII and VII will finally be getting Western releases on the 3DS next year.

Monitoring Internet traffic has become a way of reading the tea leaves of modernity, something that captures the seismographic yearnings of modernity. Research firm SimilarWeb reports Bernie Sanders’ website gets more traffic than all other candidates combined, yet he still trails Hilary Clinton in polls by more than 20 points. Following the last Republican primary debate, Marco Rubio won headlines with a 40% increase in traffic to his website despite trailing far behind Donald Trump and Ben Carson. Seven of the top 10 most viewed stories at ESPN.com were related to fantasy sports, signaling, if not a decline in professional sports, a restless boredom with the idea of simply watching it.
