Apocalypse Meow, donde los gatos son los malos y los perros los salvadores

Los gatos suelen ser uno de los mayores protagonistas en la red de redes donde en esos GIFs de moda suelen acometer las piruetas y las burradas más variopintas. Tampoco vamos a dejar mal a los perros, que son otros de los principales causantes de que nos echemos unas risas y los que vendrán a nuestra ayuda para salvar al universo de una invasión gatuna de las que traen cola.

Apocalypse Meow es un divertido arcade donde tendremos que vérnoslas con los gatos como enemigos y sus naves que intentarán erradicarnos de la heroicidad que significa convertirnos en un perro para intentar salvar a los humanos. Para ello contaremos con una espectacular nave a la que podremos equipar con distintos poderes para así enfrentarnos de mejor forma a esa horda de gatos montados en sus naves y esos asteroides que serán bastante difíciles de evitar.

Un shooter espacial

Los shooters espaciales también han sido una de las temáticas más retocadas por muchos estudios de videojuegos. Efectos gráficos espectaculares, explosiones llamativas y unos poderes que se van ensamblando a nuestra nave para sortear esos cinturones de asteroides que ponen difícil más nuestra aventura espacial.

Apocalypse Meow

Apocalypse Meow tiene también unos alicientes en forma de RPG en los que se nos ofrece la opción de acceder a distintos personajes y mejorarlos. Para que esto tenga más sentido no faltarán esos jefes finales tan importantes en este tipo de videojuegos. Esas mejoras para poder aniquilar a estos jefes finales son para las armas, escudos, salud, tecnología misteriosa y mucho más que te espera en este buen shoot’em up.

Otras de sus virtudes son sus misiones dinámicas y unos muy buenos gráficos 3D, y que en definitiva nos llevan ante un buen gameplay en todos los sentidos donde los destellos y los brillos casi psicodélicos le darán todo su gran toque para ofrecer un buen espectáculo en la pantalla de tu smartphone.

Gatos contra perros

Este videojuego también cuenta con varios niveles de dificultad en cada sector en los que nos aventuremos a batallar contra los malignos gatos. También podemos acceder a tabla de líderes y una buena cantidad de logros que incite a seguir jugándolo durante días.

Lo que sí que consigue sumergirnos en estas batallas espaciales son los objetos sombreados que producen un buen efecto de profundidad, algo esencial en este tipo de juegos para que proporcione mejores experiencias de juego.

También podemos contar con una buena banda sonora y un audio que motive a utilizar los auriculares para echar esas partidas.

En el aspecto técnico

Apocalypse Meow

Aunque tengan que solventar todavía algunos bugs, en conjunto Apocalypse Meow es un juego en el que podemos evidenciar mucho futuro si sigue así, ya que el core del juego plantea muy buenas perspectivas.

El aspecto gráfico es sobresaliente y los efectos están muy conseguidos, dos elementos vitales para este género de videojuegos donde hay que conseguir que el jugador se sobresalte ante los continuos disparos y bombazos que puede soltar desde su nave, esta vez controlada por un perro que quiere salvar a la humanidad.

LG V10 battery life test

The LG V10 garnered a very positive response from our readers and it is indeed an excellent phone. It has two potential drawbacks – the Snapdragon 808 doesn’t have the best GPU for 3D gaming and the 3,000mAh battery is a bit too small for a phone of this size and weight.

Indeed, the LG G2 – a noticeably smaller and lighter phone from 2013 – had a 3,000mAh battery and it didn’t have a huge, high-res 5.7″ QHD display to feed.

And then there’s the second screen. LG could have gone with AMOLED, but chose a more complicated engineering solution to keep the second screen always on in a power efficient way. We ran a standby test with the screen on and off and found that it leads to a 70% increase in standby power draw.

Still, the impact on the endurance rating isn’t huge, it goes down from 56h when the second screen is off to 46 hours. You’ll get around two days of moderate usage in either case. There’s an option to enable the second screen only when the main display is on, if you want to stretch out the battery.

The talk time of under 17 hours was a little disappointing. The LG G Flex2 lasted an hour longer and the Galaxy S6 edge+ almost doubled the result, both have the same 3,000mAh capacity.
