Samsung Galaxy Note 5: An Eye-Opener

It’s funny how our priorities change over time. When we first got cell phones years ago, we were most-concerned about the quality of phone connections. But with today’s smartphones, sound quality may be one of the last things we consider. Take Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 5, for instance. I’ve tested it out for two weeks now, and realized after about 10 days that I never even tried using the phone app. And that’s saying something, because I’m old-fashioned and would rather talk with people than text them. But I’ve had so much fun exploring the phone and all it offers that I simply just forgot to place a call.

The Top 5 Data Breach Vulnerabilities

In previous blogs I’ve focused on some very specific data breaches and specific defense mechanisms. I often find CEOs, particularly owners of small businesses, who don’t know how to approach security, or even if they have a firewall in place.  I often hear the response “my IT guy handles that”, which more often than not in small business turns out to be a young person with very little IT and zero security experience.  In this blog I’ll explain five key areas that a CEO needs to understand to have a holistic approach toward their data security.  Note that one of the 5 categories isn’t “Your Networks”.  We all intuitively understand that our networks are vulnerable, but often don’t take into context the other vulnerabilities that cause our networks and data to be compromised. In future blogs I’ll delve into specific types of attacks and defenses at a C-level to provide the level of understanding required to understand the threat and determine what resources are appropriate to mitigate the risk to your business.

You Can Download Fallout 4’s ‘Pip-Boy’ App On iTunes And Android Right Now

Fallout 4 doesn’t come out for a few more days, but you can go ahead and download the game’s companion app now on Google Play and iTunes. The Pip-Boy, as its called, won’t do a whole lot of useful things until the game actually comes out, but as the recent leaks prove, we’ve all got a whole lot of extra Fallout-centric energy to burn while we wait for release. This thing should occupy a few minutes at least.
