HTC One A9 battery life test
HTC One A9 – the phone to redeem HTC’s past mistakes and the hope for higher sales. Our review impressions turned out a mixed-bag – the One A9 indeed is a device of great build, snappy and offers capable camera, but it’s quite expensive right now.
The holiday season is upon us though and we hope in just few weeks the price goes down to more reasonable levels. And while we are waiting for the change, we present you the full battery breakdown.
HTC One A9 is powered by a 2,150 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery, which looks about right for a 5″ device. We’ve seen Samsung AMOLED’s produce great battery endurance, but we’ve also seen quite poor non-Samsung phones with AMOLED. So, we were very eager to put the One A9 through its paces.
The 3G talk time endurance turned out unimpressive, though expected considering the battery capacity.

Pocket MapleStory, el popular MMORPG desembarca en Android para dar mucho juego
Los MMORPG son uno de los géneros que más horas han conseguido consumir al usuario para que así pueda llegar a ese alto nivel y poder enfrentarse a los monstruos más poderosos del juego en raids con decenas de jugadores. Una categoría de juegos que tenemos también en Android, pero que no son del todo tan prolíficas como si lo son otras. Será cosa de tiempo que empecemos a ver videojuegos de este estilo que vayan poblando la Play Store, y que nos permitan acceder a todas esas capacidades de juegos online masivos donde enfrentarnos a miles de jugadores en todo el planeta.
Hoy podemos darle la bienvenida a uno que es bien popular como es Pocket MapleStory y que aterriza de forma global para el deleite de sus fans y los jugadores de Android que estaban esperando un juego como este. Pocket MapleStory estaba ya hace su tiempo en los dispositivos móviles, pero solamente en una única versión coreana y un lanzamiento progresivo en ciertos países. Ahora ya lo tenemos oficialmente en todo el mundo para nuestro disfrute.
Recordando a Pokémon
Si hay un videojuego al que se le parece es a Pokémon, sobre todo por esas batallas de monstruos y bestias que concurren entre ellos y contra el principal protagonista de esta historia que somos nosotros mismos encarnados en el principal personaje.
Los cazadores de monstruos serán los “pets” o héroes que controlaremos y que tendremos que enseñar para que así puedan ir eliminando a los jefes finales. Todo lo que tenemos que hacer es preparar las armas y combinar las distintas fuerzas para que así podamos salir victoriosos de los distintos enfrentamientos a los que nos veremos abocados.
Una de las mayores virtudes de este juego es la capacidad que ofrece de personalización al jugador, algo de vital importancia cuando nos las tenemos que ver con miles de jugadores para así no parecer que somos todos idénticos. Desde cambiar el estilo de peinado, hasta lo que es la expresión facial, todo nos dirige a intentar ser un poco especiales en la estética personal.
Scroll lateral para un MMORPG
Normalmente este tipo de videojuegos en PC tienen un especial énfasis por el 3D y un mundo abierto, lo que ocurre en Android son las limitaciones por el hardware, lo que se convierte en Pocket MapleStory en uno que aboga por el scroll lateral para presentarnos una serie de personajes bien simpáticos.
Se pueden recolectar todo tipo de objetos, poderes mágicos y crear items especiales que sean capaces de mostrar tus habilidades. Entre los distintos héroes que podemos elegir están Dual Blade, Demons Slayer o Angelic Buster, para que con alguno de ellos podamos terminar victoriosa la aventura a la que nos vemos dirigidos.
Esta serie de héroes serán actualizados con unos cuantos más que tengan sus propios estilos de combate y habilidades únicas. En un videojuego de este tipo es fundamental para alargar el contenido y las horas que un jugador va a utilizar para seguir subiendo de nivel.
Cuenta con la posibilidad de adentrarnos en un clan y un sistema de dungeon para jugar con amigos, lo que ofrece mayor diversión si cabe y lo que le da entidad para poder decir que estamos ante un MMORPG. Entre las misiones distintas encontraremos algunas para buscar todo tipo de materiales, algunos bien raros por lo que tendremos que saber gestionar el equipo con el que contemos, y en definitiva nos llevará ante un juego que tiene grandes dosis de diversión para echar muchas horas en el.
Calidad técnica
Tiene todo para convertirse en uno de los mejores de su género, aparte de lo que significa que lleva ya un tiempo en otras regiones, por lo que lo encontraréis bien pulido y listo para echar unas buenas partidas.
Si tenéis con quien jugarlo mejor que mejor, ya que es en su lado multijugador donde se le saca todo el partido. Un nivel técnico bien aceptable que roza el notable y que en su conjunto de posibilidades se encuentra su grandeza. Un buen juego para muchos ratos divertidos.

Sonos’ New Products Are A Win Against Forced Obsolescence
This past week, Sonos—makers of speakers that have become popular for their ability to play music directly from a wide variety of streaming services—made two big announcements: An evolutionary update to their Play:5 flagship speaker (out November 20), and one almost-magical software feature called TruePlay.
First, lets back up. As far as consumer electronics companies goes, Sonos is a strange beast. The gadget world is notorious for an unending train of forced obsolescence. Whether it’s an operating system update that slows or freezes an aging gadget or the addition of a must-have new feature, your year-old devices never quite seem good enough. Sonos largely ditches that playbook, opting instead to keep its products on shelves for years, while releasing new ones on a blue-moon basis. To put some numbers behind this, the last major Sonos release was way back in 2012, when the company released the bookshelf-and-bathroom-sized Play:1.
Sonos is also a company that tends to nurture its existing product line. Longtime Sonos users will notice that regular software updates fundamentally change the way their years-old products operate, giving these devices the smarts of brand-new gadgets, without forcing consumers to spend more money. When the Play:1 launched three years ago, it required a device called a “Bridge” to hook into your home network router before its wireless magic could do its thing. Today, updated software allows these same Play:1 devices to stream songs sans Bridge. And if you happened to already have a Bridge, it’s not wasted: Sonos’ new software allows them to serve as network extenders for the Sonos system, making it easier for speakers in the far reaches of a large house to play nice with each other.

Xiaomi Mi 4c passed through our review with flying colors – we were very pleased with its performance and still camera quality. Today it’s time to give its battery life our traditional breakdown treatment.
The Mi 4c runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 and its USB Type-C port is fast charging-enabled. Xiaomi even provides you with a proper power plug to charge its 3,080 mAh blazing-fast.
Our first test measures the 3G talk time endurance and the Mi 4c did great here – it lasted about 18 and a half hours before its battery went dead.
