Ya disponible la plataforma GeForce NOW de NVIDIA de streaming de videojuegos

El streaming se está convirtiendo en una palabra de moda por su uso en distintos servicios como puede ser la música y ese Spotify, en los videojuegos con Twitch o lo que sería Netflix y esa capacidad para poder ver todo tipo de series. De todas las dichas, cuenta Twitch con una de las plataformas más interesantes, más público posee y a la que se augura mayor futuro para los próximos años, debido a la altitud que está tomando los eSports en todo el mundo. Tampoco nos podemos olvidar de los YouTubers, con los que ahora contamos con YouTube Gaming.

NVIDIA por otro lado nos lleva a la capacidad de un streaming donde con supercomputadoras y centros de datos en la nube, que consigue una optimización de baja latencia para la codificación, que todo sumado nos dirige a poder jugar partidas como si tuviéramos una consola de gran calidad como esas Xbox One o PS4. La compañía acaba de lanzar el servicio de cloud-gaming llamado GeForce NOW y se encuentra ahora de forma exclusiva para la plataforma SHIELD.

Videojuegos a 60 FPS y 1080p

Los servidores de NVIDIA se encargan de llevar todo el potencial para conseguir que el nivel gráfico no se resienta y cualquiera pueda disfrutar de lo mejor del gaming a través de Internet con esos dispositivos SHIELD que permiten 60 FPS y una resolución 1080p. No hay otro servicio que pueda decir lo mismo ya que en este sentido lo que ofrece NVIDIA es único.

NVIDIA Geforce Now

El servicio se está lanzando con 60 videojuegos disponibles para poder disfrutarlos a través de NVIDIA Shield. Entre ellos podemos contar con algunas glorias de hace pocos años como son Borderlands, Red Faction: Armageddon, Dead Rising 2 y Bionic Commando, aparte de esos Alan Wake, Brutal Legend o Psychonauts.

Una buena cantidad de títulos de varios géneros como son Moto Gp, F1 2010 o Street Fighter X Tekken que nos permitirá acceder a todo tipo de partidas.

Necesidad de una buena conexión

El hándicap que puede contar este servicio en nuestro país es que se necesita una conexión bastante potente para poder disfrutarlo al máximo. NVIDIA recomienda una velocidad mínima de de 10 Mbps y un router Shield-Ready 5 GHz Wi-Fi para poder realizar el streaming a 60 FPS y una resolución de 720p. Ya para poder acceder a la mejor resolución una de 25Mps es requerida para ese 1080p y los 60 FPS.

NVIDIA Shield

El último modelo de NVIDIA Shield se encuentra en SHIELD Android TV, que cuenta con un procesador Tegra X1 de NVIDIA perfecto para estas lides y para disfrutar de ese gaming en streaming que ofrecen los servidores de NVIDIA. Por 199 dólares contaremos también con la capacidad de vídeo 4K y un sistema de sonido surround 7:1, así que puede ser una opción a contemplar para estas navidades que se acercan a una velocidad muy rápida, aunque habrá que esperar hasta que llegue aquí.

Geforce NOW está disponible por unos 7,99 dólares por mes en un plan de tres meses para una prueba gratuita.

Black Friday Leak: Xbox One With Two Controllers, ‘Fallout 4,’ And ‘Gears of War’ For $299.99

It might still be October, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start looking forward to the Black Friday, the high holy day of American consumerism and probably the best single day of a given year to pick up a new video game console. A leaked ad for Dell’s suite of Black Friday “Doorbusters” should be of particular interest to anyone looking to upgrade to Microsoft’s Xbox One, mostly because it features the best bundle I’ve seen since Best Buy’s impressive TV/Xbox One offering. It features a 500 gb Xbox One, Fallout 4, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and an extra controller for $299.99. The package would run you $469.99 at full retail. Considering plenty of people are probably considering picking up a current-gen console for Fallout 4 alone, the rest certainly sweetens the deal.

HTC One A9 will be a lot more expensive in Europe than in the US

We didn’t know it at the time, but a few weeks ago with its new Nexus devices Google started a trend. And not a good one if you happen to live in Europe. See, the new Nexus 5X, for example, happens to be way more expensive in Europe than it is in the US.

And now we can say the exact same thing about the newly unveiled HTC One A9. While in the US the launch price is a very reasonable $399.99 for a SIM-free and unlocked unit, things are very different on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.

In the UK, the phone is going to cost a whopping £429.99, which right now translates into roughly $664. But wait, that’s not all! To add insult to injury, the model that will be sold in the UK will only have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, whereas the US-bound iteration has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage.

As for operators, so far only O2 has confirmed that it will be offering the One A9, including the gold variation, which will be exclusive to it. So if you’re in the UK and really want a One A9, you’ll probably end up getting it from an operator, paying almost nothing upfront and having the actual cost of the phone hidden inside a Pay Monthly contract.

Although HTC hasn’t yet announced official pricing for the Eurozone, media outlets in Germany are expecting the One A9 to go for €599. That’s currently about $679, so even more than in the UK, amazingly. What’s unclear is which hardware version of the handset will make it to continental Europe, the one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage or the one with double those amounts.

Either way, while in the US this is a pretty affordable mid-ranger, over in Europe the One A9 reaches flagship-level pricing, without having the specs to back that up. HTC’s newest does, however, make the LG Nexus 5X seem like a good buy in Europe by comparison – the 32GB version of that device will only cost €530, and it has a higher-end SoC on board and a bigger battery.

We sincerely hope no other smartphone makers will follow Google’s and HTC’s lead on this newfound trend, but you probably shouldn’t be holding your breath.
