Si algo tiene Oneplus es que tiene un buen equipo de marketing. Si bien el consumidor se vuelve loco por poder conseguir una de las invitaciones para comprar el último smartphone de la compañía, ahora vemos como el fabricante chino, quiere poner en juego el atrevimiento de los usuarios. Por ello ha tenido una idea que ha dado y está dando mucho que hablar en las redes sociales y foros dedicados al sector de la tecnología, se trata de regalar un OnePlus 2 a cambio de un smartphone de Samsung.
Bajo el hashtag #TakeTheEdgeOff, el fabricante está pidiendo a los millones de usuarios de Samsung que hay en todo el mundo, cambiar un terminal de la gama alta de la marca coreana por un OnePlus 2.
Así pues aquellos usuarios que disponen de un Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge + o Galaxy Note 5, son los elegidos por OnePlus para entrar en este nuevo intercambio de smartphones. Tan sólo 50 serán los elegidos para enviar sus dispositivos a las oficinas de OnePlus y recibirán un nuevo OnePlus 2 nuevo sin animo de lucro. Los terminales Samsung que lleguen a las oficinas se destinarán a la asociación Hope Phones, una campaña solidaria que ayuda a países del tercer mundo con la recogida de smartphones de la gama más alta.
Entre las condiciones de esta promoción, el usuario deberá de ser mayor de edad, residir en un país donde OnePlus distribuya sus smartphones, tener uno de los smartphones nombrados anteriormente, que el dispositivo funcione, tenga sus accesorios originales así como su cargador y rellenar el formulario que hay en la web de OnePlus y enviarlo entre los días 14 al 18 de Octubre. Una vez se cierre la promoción, se sortearan entre los inscritos y tan sólo 50 usuarios serán los elegidos de entrar en esta promoción por una buena causa.
OnePlus quiere ayudar a las personas que más lo necesitan y por ello ha realizado este #TakeTheEdgeOff para poder conseguir fondos de una manera curiosa y diferente para la asociación Hope Phones. LG will begin updating the G4 smartphone to Android 6.0 Marshmallow next week. The Korean manufacturer announced the rollout of the latest Android build to its flagship handset in an official press release.
Just like the LG G3 a year ago, the G4 will first receive the new firmware in Poland. More markets in Europe, Asia, and the Americas will follow soon thereafter.
The tech giant has worked closely with Google to make the update a reality. The update should hardly catch anyone by surprise, as the G4 packs the same chipset as the recently launched Nexus 5X by LG.

Good news, LG G4 owners! Android 6.0 is starting to roll out to your device next week! There’s just one catch: The update is only rolling out to one country initially.
LG says that G4 units in Poland will start getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow next week. Updates for Europe, Asia, and the Americas are in the works, too, but LG hasn’t given a timeframe in which we can expect to see them start rolling out.
As for what’s included in the LG G4’s Android 6.0 update, LG has chosen to highlight a few of Marshmallow’s new goodies:
- Permissions have been simplified with greater control of the information applications can access, not only at the installation stage but any time
- Silent feature for sound and vibrate mode as well as a Do Not Disturb mode to block all sounds or only alarms and notifications
- Doze Mode which shuts down background processing of certain apps when the phone is not in use, to significantly prolong battery life
Interestingly, LG also chose Poland as the first country to get Android 5.0 for the G3 last year. Perhaps there’s a small but rabid LG fanbase in that country? Whatever reason, LG G4 owners outside of Poland are sure to be jealous of their Polish counterparts next week. Here’s to hoping that rollouts for other locales aren’t too far behind.
