Video streaming service Vimeo has updated its iOS app, bumping it to version 5.6. The updated app now supports various new iOS 9 features and also contains several bug fixes.

The update brings support for picture-in-picture mode on the iPad. This means that you can now continue watching a video on Vimeo in a smaller window while doing other stuff, like Web surfing and checking email. The new app also supports split screen mode.

In addition, you can now also search for Vimeo videos via Spotlight, and the app works better with Chromecast. The updated app is now available for download from the App Store (click the Source link below).

Amazon Fire Tablet Performs Quite Poorly, As One Would Expect For $50

Three weeks ago, Amazon.com launched their new Amazon Fire tablet for what sounded like an incredible $65 without ads on the lock screen, $50 without. I wrote here about a few things that  I thought were important to further research if they were considering buying it for them or their friends or family. These were things like having ads in the lock screen, the use of much lower performing processors, the small amount of RAM and storage, details on the display, and finally, that you won’t be able to run Google Android apps or content purchased through the Google Play Store.
