El precio del Xiaomi Mi5 podría rondar los 300 euros

El próximo buque insignia del fabricante chino, el Xiaomi Mi5 podría tener un precio muy asequible. Este fabricante tiene la costumbre de sacar dispositivos de la gama más alta de Android a un precio muy bajo con respecto a sus competidores. Esto hace que la compañía tenga un éxito brutal en su país y sea uno de los fabricantes que más teléfonos móviles inteligentes está vendiendo en el país asiático.

Sin ir muy lejos, no hace mucho Xiaomi, presentó el nuevo Xiaomi Mi4C, un dispositivo que se equipa con unas especificaciones de gama alta pero con un precio de gama baja. Esta nueva filosofía del precio del Xiaomi, podría tener continuidad ante la inminente llegada del terminal estrella, el Mi5.

El terminal, como la mayoría de terminales, no se ha podido escapar de las filtraciones que han ido saliendo en lo que llevamos de año. Se ha hablado mucho sobre el futuro dispositivo y poco a poco va llegando el día de su presentación, aunque todavía no hay fecha oficial, pero Xiaomi podría presentar su terminal o bien, antes de finalizar el año o al empezar el próximo año.

La información más reciente sobre el futuro dispositivo del fabricante chino, indica a que Xiaomi estaría esperando al nuevo procesador Snapdragon 820 de Qualcomm para incorporarlo en el hardware del Mi5. Junto a este SoC le acompañarían 4 GB de memoria de RAM, una cámara principal y situada en la parte trasera de 16 Megapíxeles. Además una de las novedades más relevantes sería la de su sensor de huellas dactilares 3D, del cual ya hablamos en su momento.

Como hemos comentado anteriormente, el Xiaomi Mi5 será un terminal de gama alta, por lo que sus materiales de fabricación serían de lo más premium del mercado. Pensareis que un terminal así se irá de precio, ¿ verdad ?, pero no os engañéis ya que, lo más atractivo de este dispositivo podría ser su precio. Según las últimas informaciones, el fabricante chino, lanzaría su terminal más tope de gama a un precio de 300 dólares, un precio muy rompedor y que haría mucho daño a su competencia.

Por el momento no sabemos nada más sobre el futuro terminal estrella, aunque si que lo hemos visto en varias supuestas fotografías. Pero deberemos esperar a su presentación oficial para salir de dudas y conocer más detalles sobre el Xiaomi Mi5, así como saber su precio de salida y su disponibilidad. Los divertidos personajes de cartón vuelven con Paper Monster Recut

Paper Monsters es una pequeña saga de videojuegos que tienen como objetivo a las plataformas. Es el género donde juega y en el que ha demostrado su gran valía a través de estos años en los que ha encontrado en los dispositivos móviles su razón de ser y para ofrecer diversión con esos saltos extensos y ese mundo 3D que se mueve perfectamente en un scroll lateral.

Esto mismo encontraremos en Paper Monsters Recut, su nueva reválida como videojuego para seguir demostrando que las plataformas se encuentran en un momento excelente. Paper Monsters Recut vuelve con todo lo que sabe hacer tan bien para traeros un juego gratuito al que vamos a jugar durante bastantes días gracias a esos niveles tan bien diseñados y lo bien que se mueve todo, sobre todo en esas animaciones con doble saltos que nos llevarán a plataformas más altas.

Saltando de plataforma en plataforma

Papers Monsters Recut nos brinda la posibilidad de quedarnos atontados con lo bien que se mueve nuestro personaje y como da esos saltos dobles con los que llegar a las rampas más lejanas.

En un universo donde el papel y el cartón son los materiales primarios, este videojuego nos plantea varias cosas a destacar, aunque la que nos incitará a seguir jugándole será su facilidad de control y uso sin tener que complicarnos.

Ese estilo cartón es otra de sus claves para engatusarnos y llevarnos ante unos gráficos que son otros de los puntos llamativos, empezaremos en la oscuridad, pero en el momento que se encienda alguna luz nos daremos cuenta de que no estamos ante un videojuego que se han andado cortos en este sentido, y es de agradecer para poder evidenciar con el potencial que contamos con la gpu y cpu de nuestro smartphone o tablet.

Volviendo a la esencia

Después de dejar a la vista que estamos ante un juego que técnicamente se encuentra en la liga mayor, al jugarlo nos encontraremos ante lo que podemos ver en otros juegos del estilo. Tomar puntos, encontrar la salida al nivel, desbloquear secretos y tesoros e ir encontrando esos personajes que intentarán encandilarnos para seguir con ese gusanillo que significa la exploración.

Con esto accederemos a unos variados artilugios como son submarinos, láseres, jetpacks y todos esos poderes que nos encanta utilizar en un juego de este tipo. Un videojuego para todos los de la casa donde podremos encontrar unos gráficos que relucen sin apenas quererlo y que se dejan descubrir según vamos explorando cada recoveco de un nuevo plataformas al que echarnos unas partidas de las buenas.

Como he mencionado toda la grandiosidad de sus aspecto técnico, se lleva la mejor nota que suelo asignar a un juego que hay que instalar de todas las maneras. Gratuito desde la Play Store con esos inevitables micro pagos que nos llevan al modelo freemium. Muy recomendable para los fans de las plataformas.

Weekly poll results: Huawei Nexus 6P gets plenty of love, LG Nexus 5X less so

You’ve had the time, and you’ve had your say – the new Nexuses went through our Yay or Nay weekly and the response is mostly positive.

It’s the premium Huawei Nexus 6P that’s gotten fan love by the heaps with the crowd split 4-to-1 in favor. A metal build and top-end specs are apparently exciting enough to offset the unsightly bulge on the back. And who knows, maybe some of you actually like that, judging by the fact that the vote on the matter isn’t exactly unanimous here at office.

The LG Nexus 5X isn’t doing quite as well, though. Which is somewhat odd, as we’ve been hearing users complain about the push for large screens and high densities, and it would seem a 5.2-inch 1080p stock Android phone would be a dream come true for purists. And it’s not exactly underspecced either, with a Snapdragon 808 inside, same camera as the 6P with 4K video capture, Type-C USB and fingerprint reader on the back, all for a lower price.

That’s not to say that the Nexus 5X result isn’t positive. It’s just that the 59% of upvotes is somewhat of a mediocre achievement for a device that should by definition be at the forefront of the Android…

Week 41 in review: Lumia is big news, OnePlus Mini excites

This week’s headlines were dominated by Microsoft. The Lumia 950 announcement article was the most-read by quite some margin, followed by the article for the Lumia 950 XL. Does that suggest the 950 will see much higher demand? If so, things don’t bode well for the Lumia 550, which didn’t even make it into the Top 10. By the way, it seems that the smaller iPhone 6s is drawing more interest than its bigger sibling too.

The Lumia 950 and 950 XL garnered interest from the UK when the pricing was unveiled. The Microsoft Surface Book proved a very popular product in its own right, especially for a laptop (well, okay, a hybrid).

OnePlus management has been hinting at a Mini device for a while now, but it was mum on details. Those details leaked and they resonated with people, the OnePlus Mini leak article came second only to the big Lumias.

The popular Galaxy S name was also on people’s minds, when a rumor suggested there will be three different versions of the Galaxy S7.

Meanwhile some controversies were brewing. Apple sources chipsets from both Samsung and TSMC and some early tests showed both get different battery lives. Google’s decision to drop Qi wireless charging on the new Nexus phone was also met with some arguments.

Sony made (some) people happy with the list of Xperia phones scheduled for a Marshmallow update and keeping heat in check when recording 4K videos. Speaking of software updates, Yu switched the Yuphoria from Cyanogen OS to stock Android (and slashed the price for good measure).
