You can now back up WhatsApp content in Google Drive
One of the worries that people often have is that of losing information. Whether it’s text messages, photos or something else, people don’t want to lose their digitally-stored information. To make it easier to preserve your information, WhatsApp has worked with Google to make it easy to create a private backup of WhatsApp chat history, voice messages, photos, and videos in Google Drive.
Creating a backup in Google Drive removes the possibility of losing your phone and losing all of your memories with it. The best part about it is that WhatsApp users simply have to enable the feature and choose how often to back things up, whether that’s daily, weekly or monthly. It’s extremely simple, private and useful, saving all of your memories and information even if something should happen to your phone.
The feature is only available on Android and will roll out over the next few months. Users should check their settings to see if its rolled out to them yet.

Meter, la nueva app de Google para tener un fondo de pantalla más inteligente
A veces a los chicos de Mountian View les da por lanzar aplicaciones en forma de experimentos, un ejemplo claro son los experimentos del navegador Chrome. Pues bien, el grupo de desarrolladores de Google Creative Lab es conocido por lanzar aplicaciones curiosas en forma de experimentos.
Ahora este grupo ha lanzado una nueva aplicación titulada Meter. Con esta aplicación estaremos atentos a cualquier cambio que ocurra en nuestro smartphone.
Esta aplicación trata de un fondo de pantalla animado, muy minimalista y con un toque de Material Design. La funcionalidad de esta aplicación es muy sencilla y nada más al abrirla se nos preguntará que parámetros queremos que muestre nuestro fondo de pantalla. Estos parámetros pueden ser los parámetros más usados en un smartphone, tales como la conexión Wi-Fi, la cobertura o la batería.
Meter, fondo animado, minimalista e inteligente
Con Meter, nuestro fondo de pantalla se vuelve más inteligente y nos dará información de manera minimalista de los cambios que sucedan en los anteriores parámetros nombrados. Así pues, nos encontramos que una vez configurada la aplicación, podemos elegir entre un triangulo para la cobertura de teléfono, de datos así como la cobertura Wi-Fi, un circulo para saber lo que nos queda de batería, un cuadrado para las notificaciones. Estas figuras están rellenas de un color y dependiendo el color que tenga, nos indicará que tenemos una buena conexión o no.

Asus will launch a ZenPad tablet in India on October 9
In just two short days from now, Asus is set to launch a new tablet in India. This will be part of its ZenPad line which made its official worldwide debut in June. Since then we’ve seen the ZenPad S go on sale in the US, and it or one of its siblings may now be headed to the Indian market.
The image you can see below is a teaser posted by Asus’ Indian arm on its Twitter account, basically confirming the launch date.
The tablet in the teaser looks like it could be either the ZenPad 8 or the ZenPad 7, but unfortunately Asus hasn’t posted more details yet. All should thankfully be revealed on October 9, so only a little bit more patience is required.

Marshmallow Game: ya puedes jugar con el huevo de pascua de Android 6.0 Marshmallow
Tras unos largos mes con la Developer Preview de lo que anteriormente conocíamos como Android M, ahora ya conocemos todos y cada uno de los detalles acerca de Android 6.0 Marshmallow, una de las más ansiadas actualizaciones por la lograda optimización que promete y el salto a una nueva etapa con todo lo que eso conlleva.
No obstante, otro misterio que había por resolver era saber qué tipo de easter egg nos ocultaba Google detrás de la nueva versión de Android. Actualmente el misterio está resuelto y una vez más disfrutamos de un juego al más puro estilo Flappy Bird aunque con algunos cambios.
Marshmallow Game, el huevo de pascua ya disponible para todos
Al igual que ya ocurrió con Android Lollipop, en el que sacaron un juego completo del huevo de pascua llamado Lollipop Land, un usuario de la comunidad a la velocidad de la luz ha conseguido portar y disponer la descarga para todos nosotros.
Este renovado huevo de pascua contiene la misma base que el anterior, con la diferencia que en vez de piruletas encontramos malvaviscos que nos impedirán nuestro avance a batir nuestro record de puntuación.
Un añadido completamente nuevo es la inclusión de un modo multijugador. Sí, sorprendentemente ahora podemos echar nuestras partidas hasta con seis jugadores en el mismo instante y todos dando brincos y esquivando malvaviscos para, como no, lograr una puntuación máxima según nuestra habilidad.
Además, el desarrollador o mejor dicho autor de la aplicación está trabajando en lanzar actualizaciones que podrían mejorar la experiencia de juego o bien añadir más modos o funciones para nuestro entretenimiento.
El único requisito es disponer de Android 4.4 KitKat en adelante, ya que lógicamente en rendimiento no supone esfuerzo alguno para nuestros terminales, siendo accesible para todo el mundo.
