Huawei G8 will cost €399 in Europe

The Huawei G8 isn’t exactly a mystery, having been first made official a few weeks back, but today we got confirmation that it will launch in Europe in the future. Not only that, we also know how much it will cost: €399 SIM-free and unlocked.

Huawei may choose to sell it through its own European online store, which opened recently with the launch of the Honor 7. That said, it’s still unclear when European customers will be able to nab a G8.

The G8 is part of what can best be described as Huawei’s most-premium mid-range line of smartphones, if that makes any sense. It’s not high-end (there’s the Mate S for that), but it could come with just enough power for most.

The Huawei G8 has a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, a 5 MP selfie shooter, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC running things (with a 1.7 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU), dual-SIM functionality, 4G LTE support, and a 3,000 mAh battery.

In Europe we’ll see only the version with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage (which is expandable). It will be offered in three color variations – dark silver, white, and gold. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Emotion UI 3.1 on top.

The phone’s screen is a 2.5D curved affair, and on its back there’s a fingerprint scanner with support for scrolling, zooming, and other gestures. The G8 has an all-metal…

Acer Liquid Z630 y Z530 : desde el IFA, la renovación de la familia ha llegado

Como podéis ver, en pleno evento IFA 2015 están apareciendo algunos de los mejores smartphones de 2015, de la mano de los más destacados fabricantes actuales. Pero no toda la atención se centra en ellos, otros también tienen su momento de gloria como es el caso de Acer.

Su objetivo no ha sido otro que presentar una buena gama de nuevos productos, pero en el caso de Android encontramos nuevos dispositivos que llegan para reemplazar la actual gama Acer Liquid Z.

Especificaciones de la nueva gama Acer Liquid Z

Comenzando por el más potente y de mayor tamaño, el Acer Liquid Z630, contiene un panel IPS de 5,5 pulgadas con resolución 720p, procesador MediaTek MT6735 de cuatro núcleos a 1,3 GHz, 2 GB de RAM, 16 GB de almacenamiento interno, amplia batería de 4.000 mAh, cámara frontal y trasera de 8 megapíxeles con lente de gran angular. Incluye conectividad 4G LTE, Wi-Fi y Bluetooth 4.0 LE y Android 5.1 Lollipop con la renovada interfaz Acer Liquid UI.

Acer también lanzará una variante Liquid Z630S equipado con un procesador MediaTek MT6753 de ocho núcleos a 1,3 GHz, 3 GB de RAM y 32 GB de almacenamiento interno.

A continuación tenemos la serie Liquid Z530 algo más modesta con un panel de 5 pulgadas con resolución 720p, procesador MediaTek MT6735 de cuatro núcleos a 1,3 GHz, versiones de 1 o 2 GB de RAM y 8 o 16 GB de almacenamiento interno, batería de 2.420 mAh, cámara frontal y trasera de 8 megapíxeles, junto con la conectividad 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 EDR y Android 5.1 con la renovada interfaz Acer Liquid UI también.

Al igual que el anterior, también dispone de la versión Liquid Z530S con un procesador MediaTek MT6753 de ocho núcleos a 1,3 GHz, 3 GB de RAM y 32 GB de almacenamiento interno.

Precio y disponibilidad

Los dos terminales Android de Acer estarán disponibles –sin fecha exacta– a partir de septiembre con un precio de 199,90 euros el Liquid Z630 y 129,90 euros el Liquid Z530.

No sabemos qué diferencia de precio habrá respecto a los modelos ‘S’ que contienen mejores especificaciones, ni siquiera si serán lanzados al mismo tiempo, pero esperemos que no aumente el precio drásticamente.

Why I Play On Consoles Instead Of PC

Pity the poor console player: he or she rarely has anybody defend them. Spend some time on the Internet, and you’ll run into a whole lot of people talking about how much better PCs are than consoles — sometimes to the point of where it seems less like a superiority complex and more like inferiority. Rarely is the opposite opinion expressed. I suspect, however, that this is not because there are no reasons to play on console rather than PC, just that console gamers don’t care that much. But I’m here to express that less commonly flaunted opinion, even if it amounts to a slightly longer version of that same statement: I just don’t care that much. So this is why I choose to spend my time on PS4 and Xbox One.

The Dangerous Rise Of Opinion In Weather

While listening to my favorite sports talk radio station recently, a Major League Baseball manager called into question sports pundits and their predictions about who would be traded at the league deadline. At the end of his statement, he threw meteorologists under the bus by stating his opinion that sports pundits are about as bad as meteorologists. A similarly disappointing perspective was also expressed last year by New England Patriots’s Bill Belichick.
