Why ‘Pokemon Go’ Is The Perfect Move For Nintendo

We’re getting a new Pokemon game. It’s not on a Nintendo handheld, it has no overworld, and it’s going to look nothing like any Pokemon game you’ve seen before. The idea of Nintendo putting its energy into a mobile spinoff of one of its most beloved franchises might be necessarily concerning to longtime fans: when does this ever work out, after all? But I’ve become unreasonably excited about Pokemon Go, and I think it shows more creativity than I’ve seen from Nintendo’s core franchises in years. It might not reinvent the company, but it’s indicative of an energy that’s very encouraging.

Rockstar Has Killed ‘GTA Online’ Updates For PS3 And Xbox 360

Yesterday, Rockstar more or less said outright that GTA Online has become their only focus when it comes to providing new content for GTA 5, meaning that story DLC is looking less and less likely as we move further away from the window when it would be relevant. But they’re also looking to cut ties with last-generation consoles completely, as they’ve announced that all future GTA Online updates will not becoming to PS3 and Xbox 360.

Xiaomi Mi Band 2 could be coming soon with a new design

The Xiaomi Mi Band placed the company on the health and fitness tracking radar and according to Chinese sources, the successor is soon to launch. A purported photo of the Mi Band 2 shows the body of the tracker, but sadly it isn’t as revealing as we’d hoped.

Apart from the photo, there’s no new information regarding the Mi Band 2 at this point. It’s expected to pack NFC and slightly larger battery, but nothing is confirmed just yet. A teaser image has been published by Xiaomi, which suggests that we can expect news surrounding a new Amazfit product on September 16.

Amazfit could be the new name of the Xiaomi Mi Band

Back in the summer, we saw the alleged Xiaomi Mi Band 1s. It features the same design as the original Mi Band, but packs a heart rate sensor. We haven’t heard anything of the device since.

Expect more information about the fitness tracker duo on September 16, if the teaser above is anything to go by.

5 Reasons Why this is the Year of the All-Green Super Bowl

As a native New Yorker and long-suffering Jets fan now living in the Philly suburbs, I’ve also become an Eagles fan. I think it’s OK to simultaneously root for two different teams as long as one is from your hometown, one is from where you currently live, and they play in different conferences. Oh, and as long as one is not the Cowboys.
