What Cutting Edge Looks Like In Schools In 2015

Ready for a new school year? Your child probably spent the summer learning new skills or leveling up existing ones, be it coding, painting, swimming or music. When kids build skills, they acquire a greater sense of confidence and curiosity that will make them hungry for even more accomplishments. So with that said, we should be asking, is the school ready for your child?

Big Data At Autodesk: Getting A 360-degree View Of Customers From The Cloud

The last few years have seen a huge paradigm shift for many software vendors. The move away from a product-based model towards software-as-a-service (SAAS) in the cloud has brought huge changes. Autodesk was one of the forerunners in the field, having been experimenting with cloud based SAAS as far back as 2001 when it acquired the Buzzsaw file sharing and synchronization service. Since then Microsoft, Adobe and many others have been moving into a subscription based, on-demand service, and Autodesk has done the same with its core computer aided design (CAD) products.

iPhone 6S Leak Reveals Tough New Design

While the number of iPhone 6 handsets that were actually deformed last year during the #bendgate saga remains an open question, the PR impact of the saga of the bending smartphone was something that affected the perception of Apple and caught Cupertino unawares. It looks like that’s not going to be the case with the upcoming release of the iPhone 6S.

‘Metal Gear Solid 5’ And ‘Mad Max’ Headed For Release Date Collision, Should One Blink?

It’s a little bizarre that this year, there’s a literal line drawn in the sand where the video game drought of summer ends, and the waterfall of big-name titles begins in the fall. This year, that date is literally September 1st, which sees the release of what will likely be two of the biggest games this fall, Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and Warner Bros’ Mad Max.

give-up

The first OnePlus 2 shipment for North America will be slightly delayed

In the spirit of transparency and honesty, OnePlus has taken to its forums to announce that the first shipment of OnePlus 2 devices for North American markets — US and Canada — will lag behind Europe by 2-3 weeks.

The delay comes from production scheduling conflicts, but according to OnePlus, it won’t affect sales:

The production of the OnePlus 2 is in full swing and we’re excited to get the OnePlus 2 in your hands. However we do want to tell our users in North America that due to production schedules, shipping to the States and Canada will commence 2-3 weeks after shipments to Europe.

But don’t worry, this won’t affect our selling date. You can still use your invite codes to purchase the OnePlus 2 at oneplus.net starting August 11.OnePlus 2 Shipments DelayedOnePlus

While having to wait an extra couple weeks is a pain, especially for those in need of a new phone, it could be much worse. Now that the hype has died down a bit, we’d like to hear how many of you are planning to buy a OnePlus 2 in the comments below.
