Siegefall, un juego de estrategia para Android que merece la pena probar

Uno de los géneros de vídeojuegos más veterano es la estrategia. Gracias a los nuevos dispositivos móviles y toda su potencia podemos disfrutar de increíbles títulos en cualquier lugar mediante nuestro terminal Android, sin tener que envidiar nada en cuanto a gráficos, control y experiencia de otras plataformas. Siegefall es un claro ejemplo de cómo ofrecer un completo juego y sin renunciar a nada.

Siegefall: pura estrategia en la palma de tu mano

Con similar jugabilidad a Clash of Clans o Plunder Pirates, Siegefall tendremos que atacar las ciudades y fortalezas enemigas con todo el poder de nuestro ejército para tratar de conquistar los reinos cercanos y lejanos a nuestra posición.

Para ello, tendrás que formar un batallón no sólo de hombres, si no también todo tipo de criaturas como trolls, gigantes, hérores y hasta dragones que arrasarán todo a su paso. El que más importancia y valor tiene es el héroe, que dispone de clase guerrero o mago, y será determinante si tu estrategia es la correcta.

Cada soldado, arquero, héroe o incluso monstruo tendrá su propio nivel de habilidad, que te permitirá escoger entre distintas cualidades únicas en su clase, muy importantes según a qué tipo de enemigo atacarás.

Pero tranquilo, no todo es guerra y sangre, pues también tenemos que construir un asentamiento que se irá expandiendo con el tiempo, hasta conseguir una inquebrantable fortaleza capaz de resistir todos los ataques enemigos.

Gráficos, sonido y jugabilidad

Al tratarse de un juego de estrategia el principal plato es el multijugador. Los jugadores serán reales y cada uno tiene su propio ejército, fortaleza y métodos para acabar con todo a su paso. El apartado gráfico es excelente y digno de muchas otras plataformas, en seguida te darás cuenta si empleas tus largas sesiones de juego en un dispositivo con pantalla grande como una tablet.

Y el sonido y sus efectos no son menos, está cuidado y mimado al detalle para que todo forme una experiencia muy grata a los oídos, porque es tan o más importante que lo visual.

Samsung tops global shipments in Q2 2015, Huawei leads Chinese brands

According to a report released by TrendForce, Samsung has topped the second quarter shipments worldwide in 2015, with a market share of 26.8%, no doubt helped by the strong sales of the S6 and the S6 edge. Apple took the second spot with a market share of 16.4% thanks to the huge demand for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, due for an update later this quarter.

Huawei lead the Chinese manufacturers, with an overall market share of 7.6% and 18.3% among the Chinese OEMs. The company is expected to ship close to 100 million units this year. Xiaomi also did relatively well, surpassing Lenovo among Chinese OEMs and LG among global companies.

Qualcomm to lay off up to 10% of its employees

Qualcomm has definitely been going through some rough times lately. Its current top-of-the-line chip – the Snapdragon 810, was a major market failure, falling short of its sales forecasts and the company lost one of its biggest clients in the face of Samsung. There was also the unpleasant antitrust case in China, which resulted in almost $1 billion in fines.

This all adds up and the powerful Qualcomm, which registered a record high-point in sales around the same time last year, might now be on the brink of a major business restructuring and some urgent damage control. Industry sources speculated that the company will lay off as much as 10% of its employees, which according to 2014 statistics, should amount to no less than 3,000 people.

Rumors say that Qualcomm might actually be contemplating more drastic measures to retain its profitability – a split of its businesses.

It currently has two main branches – one dealing with chip manufacturing and the other, with intellectual property and licensing. Oddly enough, the latter might be worth more – an estimated $87 billion, compared to $74 billion for the former. Separating the two could prevent falling chip sales from dragging down the licensing business as well.

Jeep Owners Urged To Update Their Cars To Stop Hackers Taking Them Off The Road

It’s possible to hack Jeep Cherokees, and probably other Fiat Chrysler cars, from afar, thanks to some vulnerabilities, due to be detailed by hackers in two weeks. As many as 471,000 may be vulnerable, but there is an update drivers can deploy to secure themselves. It’s another clarion call to an industry that has been criticised for not keeping on top of digital threats.
