Después de las dos primeras entregas en las que hemos estado al borde del colapso por risa floja, ya estamos aquí de nuevo con una nueva recopilación de tomas falsas todavía más divertidas si cabe. Y es que sí, Carlos y Jaume son muy buenos con sus análisis y demás vídeos que a diario podéis ver en en canal de YouTube, pero incluso los mejores pueden cometer ciertos errores de vez en cuando. Eso sí, os podemos asegurar que son muy pocos los que fallan con tanta gracia.

Ya se pueden ejecutar apps de Ubuntu Touch en Ubuntu

En Canonical están enfocados en varios frentes, como el desarrollo de Unity y Mir para lograr la esperada convergencia que finalmente nos permitirá instalar y ejecutar apps sin importar si utilizamos un smartphone, tableta, o un PC (sea un ordenador de sobremesa o portátil), y la realidad es que sus planes de a poco se van concretando uno por uno. Ahora, sin ir más lejos, han logrado que finalmente sea posible instalar apps de Ubuntu Touch en Ubuntu x86 o x64.

Se trata de un paso muy importante en pos de lograr la mencionada convergencia, y para los usuarios sin duda que los beneficios serán muy importantes ya que por ejemplo, comenzando ya mismo se podrá instalar en un ordenador con Ubuntu algunas aplicaciones hasta ahora sólo disponibles en los smartphones o tabletas con Ubuntu, como el BQ Aquaris E5 HD entre otros, y con ello se podrá mantener la experiencia de tu distro preferida, como así también varias de las principales apps, sin importar que dispositivo estemos utilizando.

Para poder disfrutar de esto hay que añadir un PPA que han creado los desarrolladores y que se llama Ubuntu Touch Core Apps, lo cual podemos hacer de la siguiente forma:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-touch-coreapps-drivers/daily
sudo apt-get update

Luego de eso ya tendremos la posibilidad de instalar varias de las apps disponibles en ese PPA, entre las cuales podemos mencionar calendar-app, music-app, help-app (herramienta de ayuda), reminders-app (aplicación de notas), ubuntu-clock-app, ubuntu-docviewer-app, ubuntu-rssreader-app, ubuntu-terminal-app, ubuntu-weather-app y algunos juegos como sudoku-app o dropping-letters-app.

ZTE announces the Blade D6 with high-grade aluminum alloy body

ZTE apparently wasn't done announcing smartphones this week after yesterday's unveiling of the Axon. While that particular model is destined exclusively for the US market, at least for now, the new Blade D6 will get a more international launch.

Traditionally ZTE has used the Blade sub-brand for mid-range offerings that are very good value for money. And while we can't comment on the latter in this case (since pricing information isn't available yet), the Blade D6 certainly fits the mid-range nicely.

It comes with a 5-inch 720p IPS touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, an 88-degree wide-angle 5 MP selfie snapper, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, dual-SIM functionality, and a 2,200 mAh battery.

It's powered by MediaTek's 64-bit MT6735 SoC with a 1.3 GHz quad-core CPU and Mali-T720 GPU. You also get 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. The Blade D6 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop underneath ZTE's own MiFavor 3.2 UI.

The main attraction here seems to be the design. ZTE boasts that the handset has a high-grade 6013 aluminum alloy body, it's 6.95mm thin, and weighs 120g.

Pushbullet for Android gets full SMS support

The latest update to Pushbullet for Android enables full SMS support on your computer, through the same company's assorted Web interface or browser extension.

On your computer, Pushbullet has been showing you individual texts as they arrive on your phone even up until this point, while also letting you reply to them on the spot.

But from now on you get pretty much a full messaging experience on your computer – it's like your SMS app moved from your phone. You see all your conversations, and all the messages inside each of those.

You can even be in multiple conversations at the same time – clicking the arrow to the right of a person's name opens a chat window. Sending texts happens when you hit Enter after writing something.

Everything is synced to your phone, as you'd expect. And obviously the messages themselves are sent from your handset, so the people you communicate with won't know you're actually using a desktop app (or a browser…
