Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus quietly listed at $157 for India

Samsung carries several iterations of an entry-level to mid-range handsets in India. Its latest addition is the new Galaxy Grand Neo Plus GT-I9060, which quietly debuted in the country.

The Grand Neo Plus is now listed at the official Samsung India E-store for INR 9,990 ($157). As the successor of the Grand Neo, this model brings a 2MP front facing camera while keeping the rest of the specifications almost the same.

Grand Neo Plus packs a 5-inch WVGA display, quad-core 1.2 GHz mobile chipset, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of on-board storage, memory expansion slot, and Smart Dual SIM support. It has a 5MP rear snapper with LED flash for imaging. Other features include A-GPS with GLONASS support, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi.

The handset runs Android 4.4 Kitkat with TouchWiz UX on top and packs a 2,100 mAh battery.

Skiing Yeti Mountain es un videojuego que de primeras uno piensa que no pasará nada interesante y que seguramente lo tengas que desinstalar a los segundos de probarlo, pero para nada. Lo que en un principio puede ser dudas, luego se convierte en diversión y la sensación de estar realmente bajando una montaña con unos esquís que responden a nuestros dedos perfectamente con unos efectos de sonido que realmente están muy conseguidos.

Un nuevo videojuego pixelado que te espera en tu Android para pasar entre las banderas y así completar las decenas de circuitos que tendrás para no aburrirte ni un segundo. Uno de esos juegos encantadores que enganchan por lo sencillo de su gameplay lo conseguido que está el que tengamos que volver a jugar una y otra vez, ya que en cada partida tendremos un mejor control sobre el personaje prota de este videojuego.

Lo que debería de ser un juego para un dispositivo móvil

Sencillo, cuidado y que pueda ser instalado por cualquier amigo, ya sea si tiene un dispositivo de gama alta o uno de hace unos cuantos años. Skiing Yeti Mountain tiene todas estas cualidades y se posiciona como uno de los mejores simuladores de ski. Vale que no tiene ese 3D que te deja estupefacto con una panorámica de fondo del Everest, pero consigue trasladar esa sensación de estar controlando la bajada y la velocidad a través del circuito.

Manteniendo pulsado el dedo y deslizándolo de un lado hacia otro tendremos el control del esquiador y como podremos realizar esos giros insospechados que los mejores esquiadores poseen. Esta es una de las grandes cualidades de este videojuego que aboga por unos gráficos retro pixelados que consigue que nos engatuse de alguna forma. Y estos pixels, aparecen en un mayor tamaño, pero la verdad, es que el efecto gráfico conseguido es de alta calidad y gran diseño.

Un gran esquiador

La premisa de Skiing Yeti Mountain es bastante similar al clásico SkiFree de Windows. Con un buen número de circuitos tendremos que demostrar nuestra habilidad esquiando y no permitir que nos saltemos ninguna bandera, ya que tendremos que volver a empezar.

Un videojuego encantador, divertido y que gráficamente tiene algo que llama la atención. Posiblemente suceda como con Minecraft, que es pixelado pero tiene algo que engatusa. En lo relacionado al aspecto técnico, nada que reprochar y todo son cosas positivas. Un sonido para el efecto de esquiar que realmente está muy conseguido y que por lo demás demuestra que el equipo de desarrollo sabe qué hacer para crear un buen videojuego.

Lo tenéis de forma gratuita desde la Play Store con publicidad dentro del juego, y la posibilidad de un pago para eliminarla. Muy recomendable.

Gionee Elife E8’s rear camera tipped to have lossless zoom

Two new Gionee Elife E8 teaser images have been released, focusing on the features of its camera. One image of the device is showing the gold finish on its back along with the alleged 23MP camera with dual-tone LED flash. Below it sits a fingerprint sensor.

The audio port is visible on the top in the center, while the microUSB port sits on its bottom. The speaker mesh rests just above the bottom, while the rear microphones are placed on top.

The 23MP image sensor of Gionee Elife E8 might offer lossless zoom, which was first spotted in Nokia Lumia 1020. With lossless zoom, magnification into the screen to get a better frame results in a negligible loss in quality.

Yesterday we reported about a purported render of the upcoming Gionee Elife E8 showcasing a metal body. Besides that, the buzz around the E8 is focused on the 23MP camera which is rumored to interpolate photos to 100MP.

Mozilla backtracks on its $25 smartphone plan

Over a year after announcing it, Mozilla has given up on its plan to develop a $25 Firefox OS smartphone. The revelation was made by CEO Chris Beard in an email to employees.

"We have not seen sufficient traction for a $25 phone," he said, adding that "We will focus on efforts that provide a better user experience, rather than focusing on cost alone." However, that doesn't mean that the company will only focus on high-end devices, as Beard also made it clear that they will continue "exploring the feature phone opportunity."

In an effort to give Firefox OS a boost, Mozilla is also thinking on implementing Android app compatibility. However, rather than allowing all Android apps, Beard said the effort would only be limited to "a few key apps."
