Android Auto is perhaps one of the most interesting undertakings to bring the power of your smartphone straight to your car's dashboard. The technology goes far beyond a simple screen sharing app and offers a custom, tailor-made interface and functions, developed particularly for in-car use.
Eager early adopters of the new technology, however, have been reporting a lot of problems with compatibility. A lot of recent handsets, like the Galaxy S6, were struggling to connect with Android Auto, but luckily Google has wasted no time in addressing the issue.
The latest version of Google Play Services brings a fix for the connection problems. As far as we can tell from the release notes, the update should also cover devices such as the HTC One M8 and M9, Moto X, a lot of Nexus devices, as well as the already mentioned Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. But the list is probably longer and seeing how Android Auto is still very much in its infancy, other bugs are also expected.
So, if you are among the early adopters of the new tech and have already sprung for a compatible car stereo, be sure to check for the update and keep a close eye on Google Play Services, as more improvements and fixes are sure to come.

Hace dos días ya conocimos como Google está preparándose para lanzar una nueva actualización a Android Wear que trae distintas novedades para los usuarios que tengan en propiedad uno de esos llamados como relojes inteligentes o smartwatches. Ayer mismo Google detalló ayer mismo en una entrada en uno de sus blogs que podemos esperar de esta nueva actualización a Wear.
Mientras esperamos para poder acceder a ese nuevo firmware podemos acceder hoy mismo a la nueva versión que ha recibido la app de Android Wear para así prepararse a las nuevas características que llegarán a Wear. Hay algunas que otras interesantes novedades en lo que es el look de la app y otras interesantes funcionalidades.
La mayor parte de la pantalla principal ha sido totalmente rediseñada al estándar de tarjetas de Google. Destaca el selector de watch face y acciones por voz, un acceso a la Play Store para acceder a más apps, una tarjeta de consejos para los nuevos a Wear y un par de notificaciones para probar. Menos lo que es el acceso directo a la Play Store, lo demás puede ser eliminado para centrarnos en lo que queramos en esta nueva versión de la app de Android Wear.
Al actualizar nos daremos cuenta de como el WiFi es una de las principales novedades, ya que se pedirá permiso para sincronizar a través de la nube utilizando la conexión WiFi para así permitir a Google Fit utilizar los datos del sensor.
Otra de las grandes novedades es el soporte para parear distintos dispositivos Wear para así poder cambiar entre ellos sin la necesidad de tener que volver a parearlos de nuevo.
Otros detalles a tener en cuenta en esta versión son los eventos de calendario que estarán disponibles para todas las cuentas asociadas, una pantalla de ajustes rediseñada para cada dispositivo y ajustes generales, y lo que será la instalación de Google Play Services 7.3.27 que se instala al actualizar a esta versión de Android Wear.

Motorola is now (finally) rolling out the Android 5.1 update to the first generation Moto X, which is still on KitKat. So far Brazil is the only country getting the update but it's likely that it will spread to other regions shortly.
The company has posted a changelog on the website in Portuguese, some of which are posted below.

Improved lockscreen and homescreen notifications with support for priority notifications
New Overview mode for multitasking with card view
New Moto Assist features, including Moto smart screen, Moto Voice, and Moto Shares
Moto Screen feature that shows notifications on lockscreen without waking entire display and uses the low-power processor
Smart Lock (Trusted Devices) that keeps the phone unlocked when paired with a smartwatch or in a particular area.

A menos de una semana para la presentación de su buque insignia G4, LG ha anunciado hoy mismo un nuevo smartphone Android: el G Stylo. Al igual que la serie Note de Samsung viene con un stylus pen y es el sucesor del LG G3 Stylus, el cual llegó el año pasado. Otra de las apuestas interesantes por parte de LG para este año y que desde hoy mismo forma parte del abanico de dispositivos Android con los que cuenta.
Un gama media que funcionará bajo Android 5.0 Lollipop cuando llegue a las vitrinas de los centros comerciales y que destaca también por una pantalla de 5,7 pulgadas con resolución 1280 x 720, un chip Snapdragon 410 de cuatro núcleos a 64 Bits y una velocidad de reloj de 1.2 GHz. Un interesante smartphone para abrirnos el apetito antes de que esté con nosotros el flamante LG G4 que llegará con mejores aptitudes en varios de sus componentes importantes.
Lo curioso e interesante de este nuevo smartphone de LG es que ofrece soporte a tarjetas micro SD de hasta 2 TB, aunque hay que decir que nadie de momento vende tarjetas de este tipo, por lo que el usuario tendrá que esperar para algún día utilizarlas. Una forma de llamar la atención más que otra cosa aunque sí que de esta manera deja claro que podrá tener una gran capacidad en el almacenamiento interno.
Más especificaciones del G Stylo pasan por su peso de 163 gramos, unas dimensiones de 154.3 x 79.2 x 9.6 mm y ofrece una batería de 3000 mAh. Otras características incluyen conectividad LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, cámara trasera de 8 MP, cámara frontal de 5 megapíxeles, 1.5 GB de memoria RAM y unos 8 GB de almacenamiento interno que podrá ser aumentado sin apenas tener límites.
Un teléfono que estará disponible en varias regiones alrededor del planeta y que de momento llegará a Corea del Sur a un precio aproximado a los 460 dólares. Para principios de mayo empezará a llegar a otros mercados así que estaremos atentos por otra de las mejores apuestas de LG para este año 2015.

LG took the wraps off the G Stylo mid-range smartphone in Korean. The newcomer features stylus pen just like last year’s LG G3 Stylus.
The specs of the LG G Stylo include a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset with 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1.5 GB of RAM, and 8GB of expandable memory. The handset supports microSD cards up to an eye-popping 2TB in size.
A 5.7″ 720p IPS display, 8MP main camera, and 5MP front-facing snapper, and customized Android Lollipop are also part of the device’s specs. Full connectivity suite including LTE and Android 4.1 is also on board.
Physical measures of LG G Stylo are 154.3 x 79.2 x 9.6 mm, while its weight tips the scale at 163 grams. A 3,000 mAh battery powers the device.
LG G Stylo will hit the shelves in Korea first. Select global markets will get the device starting in May.

The alleged successors of Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (D5800 series) and Xperia Z Ultra (C6800 series) were spotted in an Indonesian Telecom regulatory list. Based on the certification dates, the Xperia Z4 Compact and Xperia Z4 Ultra are expected to debut in the near future.
Sony E5803 model number corresponds with the successor of the Z3 Compact D5803 and will likely be dubbed Xperia Z4 Compact. Similarly, E6683 and E6883 model numbers could be the follow up to the Xperia Z Ultra C6683/C6803.
